Overview[edit]

The ending to Water Ski Spree

A Shy Guy drives a motorboat through the water, with the first player riding on waterskis behind it. A player dodges a Spiny Egg from another Shy Guy before the minigame begins.

The objective of the minigame is to collect as many coins as possible. There are coins on the ramps, and the player must move left and right by turning their Wii Remote. Sometimes there is a ramp on each side, and there is a coin on only one of them. The Shy Guy piloting the boat sometimes throws Spiny Eggs behind it; hitting these stuns the player and renders them unable to move for a few seconds. The maximum number of coins possible in this minigame is 17.

After the minigame ends all players strike a winning pose in a single screen. If a player does not collect any coins, they do a losing pose instead. However, if no one collects coins, the four players stay hooked on their boats while the screen stays split as they do their losing poses.

Controls[edit]

  • Wii Remote: Steer and veer
  • Buttons: None
