Ice Storm
Sprite of an Ice Storm in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. An Ice Storm from Super Paper Mario. Icon of an item from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Nintendo Switch)
The Thousand-Year Door description Blows a cold wind at all enemies and freezes them. (GameCube)
Blows a cold wind at all enemies that does 3 damage and freezes them. (Switch)
Super Paper Mario description Pelts enemies with frigid shards of ice.

An Ice Storm is an item found in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. It can be purchased at Pungent's Shop and Keelhaul Key for fifteen coins and Fahr Outpost for six coins. The item produces a cold storm that attacks all enemies. An Ice Storm deals three damage to all enemies (unless the enemy is ice based), and may possibly freeze them. If used against fire based enemies, it deals an extra damage point and has a higher chance of freezing them. If used against ice based enemies, the enemies will gain HP. Ice Storm can also be cooked by mixing a Fire Flower and a Point Swap.

In Super Paper Mario, this item does much more damage to enemies depending on how much the bar is filled from shaking the Wii Remote. It is twice as powerful as a Fire Burst, dealing two damage for every segment filled. It is sometimes dropped by Frost Piranhas and Squigs and can be bought in Howzit's shop in Flipside for 40 coins.
