J Son is an enemy in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins's Pumpkin Zone. It is a walking hockey mask with a dagger stuck in it, a reference to Jason Voorhees, the main antagonist of the Friday the 13th film series. This enemy's attack manner is similar to a Goomba's, although stomping J Son will propel Mario upward, whereas Goombas give Mario no extra propulsion upon being jumped on.
Splunkins of New Super Mario Bros. and the Jack O' Goombas of Super Mario Galaxy can be thought of as similar to J Sons, being diminutive, Halloween-themed enemies.
