A Spark Chaser in World 3-1 of Super Mario Advance

Spark Chasers[1] are items appearing in Super Mario Advance. They are found only inside vases and can be used to clear all enemies (namely Sparks) on the ground and the wall. Players can bounce high off them as well. The Spark Chaser works by sticking to any surface moving at a high speed; over time the ball shrinks until it is reduced to nothing. Its design appears to be a silly face, and similar faces can be seen on objects found in Yoshi's Story (black eyes with white pupils, a gaping mouth and two gapped square teeth).
