Template:Coinpackbox The Nerve-Wrack Pack (named Survival Panic in Japan) is the third of the three Coin Rush packs for New Super Mario Bros. 2 released in Japan, Europe, and Australia on October 2nd, 2012, and in North America on October 4th, 2012. The pack contains challenging courses with no Checkpoint Flags, meaning no additional seconds can be added to the time limit. It is rated five out of five stars in difficulty, making it the second most difficult downloadable coin rush pack, after the Impossible Pack.
This pack uses 2 blocks on the SD card when bought alone.
Course 1
Template:Levelbox The level takes place in an area similar to World 5-6. To progress through the level, Mario must hit a series of P-Switches to turn coins into Brick Blocks (serving as platforms) and rush through the level, hitting every P-Switch along the way to keep the Brick Blocks from turning back into coins. At the beginning of the level, Mario can collect a Gold Flower, which can be used to create shortcuts to Star Coins or to clearing the level in general by turning Brick Block walls into coins.
Star Coins
- Star Coin 1: Under the second Brick Block platform and above the third platform.
- Star Coin 2: Just after the second P-Switch, Mario must jump down to a low platform and turn left to collect it.
- Star Coin 3: Just after the last P-Switch are two tall Brick Block walls. Mario must wall jump up these to reach the final Star Coin.
Enemies
Course 2
Template:Levelbox The level takes place in a lava area filled with many Koopas and Paratroopas, which Mario must stomp on to move further on through most of the level.
Star Coins
- Star Coin 1: Found in the middle of four Paratroopas flying around it. Mario can stomp on one of the enemies to collect it, or use a Koopa shell.
- Star Coin 2: Found just above the lava and a Paratroopa. Mario must stomp on the Koopa to collect it and make it to the platform just to the right to avoid falling into the lava.
- Star Coin 3: Found just before the spot with a Red Koopa on a platform with three Podoboos jumping next to each other to the right. Mario must jump down to the left of the Koopa, then wall-jump out of the pit to avoid the lava. The Star Coin will fly into view above.
Enemies
Course 3
Template:Levelbox The level takes place in an area similar to World 5-3, and is a fairly short Dash Mario level. At the start, Mario can collect a Gold Flower before using the Cannon Pipe to move on to the next area with the Cannon. After being fired from the Cannon, Mario must stomp on Bullet Bills to make it though the level. A Gold Ring can be found on a low platform. If Mario goes to the left of the Cannon, a secret route can be found to a harder course, which is also the only way to find the Star Coins.
Star Coins
- Star Coin 1: Found by going to the left of the screen after the first Cannon Pipe and taking the more difficult route. It is floating in the air among the Bullet Bills, and careful control of bounce height is required to grab it.
- Star Coin 2: As above, a little further on after the first Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3: As above, just a few moments before the Flag Pole appears.
