- This article is about a minigame. For the microgame from WarioWare: Twisted!, see Flip Out! For the Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy 2, see Flip-Out Galaxy.
- Not to be confused with Flippin' Out.
Template:Minigame-infobox Flip Out (known as Let Sleeping Flomps Lie in PAL regions) is a General minigame appearing in Mario Party: Island Tour. Its name is derived from the phrase, "flip out", meaning to react very excitedly. The PAL minigame name derives from the phrase, "let sleeping dogs lie", meaning to avoid terrible things that happened before.
Introduction
The demo features Blue Toad jumping on the first Flomp, and then on a platform. As he lands on the second Flomp, it spins, sending him back to the start line.
Gameplay
The object of the minigame is to reach the goal first by jumping on several Flomps and platforms. While platforms are safe to stand on, Flomps frequently spin, sending the player back some spaces if they are stepping on it.
Controls
- – Jump
In-game text
- Rules – NTSC "Race and jump across platforms and Flomps to the finish line."
- Rules – PAL "Head for the goal by jumping on top of the Flomps."
