Template:PM Moves Tidal Wave is a move used by Sushie in Paper Mario. This attack costs Mario six Flower Points and can be used once Sushie is Ultra Rank. It is an all-range attack in which Sushie bounces across the screen in many directions, hitting all enemies with water. Fire enemies are more susceptible to this attack and take greater damage from it. The action command involves pressing either A, B, or C-Down when shown on the screen as many times as possible within a time limit; failing to press any buttons results in no damage. It is an effective attack during the second half of the battle with Lava Piranha when he and his Lava Buds are cloaked in flames.

Trivia

  • On the Nintendo 64, if more than 13 button inputs are pressed, the game crashes.[1]
    • However, on the Virtual Console, the game doesn't crash but instead max out after 14 buttons are pressed, and the 15th button location overflows.
