Nintendo Power is Nintendo's official magazine in America. It covers all of Nintendo's currently active systems (and some inactive ones, if there is any worthy news), and all of the games on those systems. Nintendo Power contains strategy guides, previews, reviews, and exclusive material not made available to other sources.
Nintendo Power (or NP) recently celebrated its 200th issue in February of 2006, and had a major design overhaul in late 2005.
On Monday October 15th 2007, Nintendo of America sold Nintendo Power to Future USA, a magazine company that produces videogame magazines. The magazine will remain the same except for a few small changes. Since Future US has taken over, the Player's Guide series has been put on hiatus (leaving Prima to produce the guides), and gifts can no longer be chosen with subscriptions, as the staff will choose one.
