The '''Virus Coin''' is a coin that first appeared in ''[[Dr. Mario World]]''. They are coins with the image of a [[Virus|virus]] imprinted on it. They come in various colors that are differentiated by the way they are collected, and are usually required to fulfill the stage's objective(s).

Prior to version 1.1.0, capsules also block the virus coins from being collected. Virus coins can be as large as to occupy nine rows and nine columns. A virus coin that is collected is considered eliminated, and thus will fill the skill meter. [[Baby Wario|Dr. Baby Wario]]'s skill can be used to collect any virus coins within the target even though there are still objects covering them. Virus coins only appear in stage mode.  


The blue coins are found in the background and thus do not block any capsules, where they are usually covered by objects and will require all the objects in front of it to be removed, so that they be collected.

The purple coins can either be found inside cages or outside of them, and those that are inside cages will require every coin not inside cages to be collected first. In versus mode, [[Baby Wario|Dr. Baby Wario]]'s skill can generate up to 12 of them on the opponent's playing field.

A virus coin is an object in Dr. Mario World. Introduced in World 2, they are blue coins with the image of a virus imprinted on it. These coins are found in the background where they are covered by objects including viruses, and in order for them to be collected, those objects must be removed first. Prior to version 1.1.0, capsules also block the virus coins from being collected. Virus coins can be as large as to occupy nine rows and nine columns. A virus coin that is collected is considered eliminated, and thus will fill the skill meter.
