As a response to Game Informer's negative reviews of Mario Party and Mario Party 2, Nintendo of America sent the publication a sarcastic certificate (pictured).
In most lanuages, the initials of Nikki, Lindsey, & Ginny are "NLG", referencing Next Level Games.
Mario's sprites in Mario's Tennis are edited from those in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.
In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Flutters only appear in GO! GO! MARIO!!.
