Darkmess Eyes are obstacles that appear in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. They are eyes made of Darkmess, created by Cursa. Darkmess Eyes appear in certain battles, in which the player has to destroy all of them to win. Some Darkmess Eyes have Darkmess that covers up Jump Panels, and must be destroyed for them to activate. Any form of attack gets rid of them in one hit, but they cannot be dashed. They have a yellow color with a black spiral "pupil".
While exploring the planets, the heroes may encounter bigger Darkmess Eyes that block paths. These Darkmess Eyes can only be removed by throwing a Darkmess Egg at them, which causes them to disintegrate. These variants are only found on the overworld, and two battles.
Darkmess Eyes also appear on Darkmess Taproots, and on a Wiggler. For the former, all three Darkmess Eyes must be destroyed in one turn for the Darkmess Taproot to disappear, or else they will reappear. On the Wiggler, the Darkmess Eyes possess it, causing the Wiggler to become angry, and all Darkmess Eyes must be destroyed before the Wiggler destroys the Wiggler Train.
