First appearance Wario Land 3 (2000)

Torches[1] are obstacles in the game Wario Land 3. They are found usually carrying flames.[2][3] If Wario touches a flame, he will turn into Hot Wario. In Out of the Woods, Bank of the Wild River, and The Tidal Coast, the flames throw two smaller sparks[2] down to the ground, alternating between two distances, but never directly below it. In both Tower of Revival and The Steep Canyon, there are unlit torches where the lit torch must be used to light up the rest by using Hot Wario when he is running under fire in a frenzy. Lighting up all unlit torches causes the nearby flame block to disappear, allowing progress past the block.
