In Yoshi's Story, Don Bongo is fought at the end of Stage 3-4: Frustration. He attacks by stomping back and forth across the room, causing pots and pans to rain down from the ceiling. Don Bongo in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate appears as a Shield-type Advanced-class primary spirit. It does not grant any slots for support spirits. When used, it increases the power of fire-type attacks, such as Bowser's Fire Breath. The corresponding Spirit Battle takes place on the Yoshi's Story stage, featuring a large green King Dedede as the puppet fighter.
