The Frigid Sea is a location found in Wario Land 3. It is located in the east side of the Music Box World. It will be accessible after Wario collects both of the Snow Storm Spell Book (The Peaceful Village) and the Freeze Cane (The Grasslands) and freezes the water in this large sea. Like all the other levels in the eastern part, this level can only be visited at nighttime. However, after Wario restores the sun emblem, he can explore it anytime. There is no difference, except for the giant ice pillar in the first area, which melts when it's daytime.
The Frigid Sea is the second level on the eastern side of the music box world in Wario Land 3. It is accessible after Wario collects both of the Blue Book (The Peaceful Village's Red Chest) and the Magic Wand (The Grasslands's Green Chest), after which the magic cast from the wand causes the water in the large sea to freeze and making it accessible.

The main area is full of ice blocks and Brrr Bears that try to stalk Wario by shooting him with ice and turning him into an Ice Skatin' Wario. There is some unfrozen water at the area's bottom, where an underwater door is found there. It also has blocks that can only be destroyed by a rock (which is found in the area as well). Another area is found when Wario enters a door located on the left side of the main area. Here, Wario must use his Snow Form to break snowman blocks and process. Wario can also explore some other areas via warp pipes and doors, and of course, by getting more power-ups.
This level takes place over the sea with many icy platforms, and there is a waterfall on the right side of this level. During nighttime, the waterfall is frozen and effectively becomes an ice piller, but in daytime, the waterfall flows. The rooms on each end of the stage consists of snow and Snowman Blocks, while the room underwater consists of a cave that is partially submerged in water, in which the water can be frozen into solid ice.

It is available as soon as the level is unlocked.

The Gray Key is in the main area, where it is within the wall at the top. To get there, the wall to the left of the key must be broken with a Dash Attack, which can be reached by going up and then to the right.

The Gray Chest is located at the rightmost portion of the level, where it is to the left of the frozen waterfall. There are several Brrr Bears on the way to the chest, where they are along the platforms leading to the chest.

This allows Wario to carry a rock to break any Enemy Blocks blocking the way.

The room where the Red Key is in requires breaking the Enemy Blocks below it to access. The only object small enough for Wario to break them is the rock at the top of the level, accessible by going right, up, and then left to it. Alternatively, if Wario has the Super Grab Gloves by the time he visits the level, one of the Brrr Bears can be used to throw at it. Within this room, there are blue birds on the way up of the icy platforms, which leads to the Red Key.

The room with the Red Chest is accessible by going past the Enemy Blocks to the left of Wario from the beginning. This requires throwing the same rock earlier to break them, or if the Super Grab Gloves is acquired, then one of the Brrr Bears can be used. The room, which is up a ladder, consists of Spearheads and a falling snowball. In order to break the Snowman Blocks before the Red Chest, Wario must use the slope in the next room to have enough momentum to break them. To do so, he must break the breakable blocks to the right so that Snowman Wario (triggered by the snowball) can use the slope to roll and then break through it. In the next room, Wario must climb up the ladder and then go left to a snowball to trigger Snowman Wario, and then use it to tumble through the Snowman Blocks to access the Red Chest.

Green Chest: Magical Flame
To get the Magical Flame from the Green Chest, the Scepter from the Cave of Flames's Gray Chest is required to make the water of the sea clear, causing the door underwater to become visible.

As for the chest, it is located in the snowman blocks area that its door is blocked by solid blocks as well. Wario must grab the rock another time and break the blocks near the entrance. When done so, the hero must enter the area.
The Green Key and Green Chest are within the room in the sea on the left of the body of the water on the right side. Within this room, Wario must first jump out of the water to enter the room in the other body of water. In this room, the wall can be broken on the right above water, where there is a Doughnuteer and a pipe. Up the pipe, there are two Para-Gooms and two Brrr Bears, as well as a switch to the left. Activating the switch causes the water at the bottom of the stage to become solid ice, and Wario can fall through one of the pits to return there. From there, the Green Key is to the right.

Here, Wario must turn into a Snowman Wario using the falling snowballs. And make himself bigger by rolling on the first slope. This will allow him to break the lower part of a wall and reach another area. The same has to be done here. By using the snowman form, Wario will roll on a slope and becomes big enough to destroy the snowman blocks in the first area and get the treasure.
In order to access the Green Chest, the switch must be activated again, which can be done by going up the pipe next to the key, and then going left in the same room as before to do so. After that, Wario can access the Green Chest by dropping down the pit, and then going underwater in the left body of water to reach the chest.

Green Chest: Flame of Truth
The Magical Flame, along with the Lantern from The Big Bridge's Blue Chest, generates a light that causes the Castle of Illusions to unravel its true form from a mountain on the east side, thereby making it accessible.

left
To get this treasure, Wario must first enter the underwater door in the main area of this level. When done so, he'll find himself near the treasure chest. The chest is accessible, however, Wario must get its key first. To do so, he has to enter the other underwater door. Then, he has to break the wall and enter the large warp pipe.

Here, Wario must avoid the Brrr Bears and activate the switch located on the left. This will freeze the water in the treasure chest area. After doing this, Wario must return to the first area by falling from the switch area. Now that the water is frozen, the key is reachable.
Blue Chest: UFO
To get the UFO from the Blue Chest, the Top Half of Sun Medallion from Sea Turtle Rocks' Green Chest and the Bottom Half of Sun Medallion from Desert Ruin's Blue Chest are required, so that daytime can happen on the eastern part of the world. For this level, it causes the frozen waterfall to melt. Alternatively, if the Prince Frog's Glove is collected from Out of the Woods' Green Chest, this treasure can also be collected regardless of the time of day.

Finally, Wario should return to the switch area and hit the switch again to unfreeze the water, and open the treasure chest.
The room that contains the Blue Key and Blue Chest is on the rightmost side of the stage, past the waterfall. During daytime, the waterfall can be bypassed normally, but during nighttime, Wario must swim past the current underwater and then climb the ladder to access the room. Within this room, there is a long corridor that consists of Snowman Blocks, slopes, and snowballs. In order to obtain the Blue Key, Wario must go to the end of this corridor while avoiding the snowballs before that. On the rightmost side of the room, the snowball up the slope must be used to trigger Snowman Wario, and then roll on the slope to provide enough momentum to reach the Blue Key.

The Flame of Truth, along with the Lantern of Truth make the Castle of Illusions appear on the east side.
From the Blue Key, the Blue Chest is up from the leftmost thin platform and then to the left.

Blue Chest: UFO
The UFO does not affect the world in any way.

To get this treasure, Wario must restore the sun emblem to free the eastern part from its eternal darkness. Then, he has to go to this level at daytime, when the ice pillar blocking the way to the blue chest room is melted by the sun.

In this room, Wario must make his way to the very last falling snowball, and use it to transform into Snowman Wario. Then, he must roll down the last slope, break all of the snowman blocks and get the blue key. Finally, Wario simply has to open the chest found above the key.

E2 The Frigid Sea

The Frigid Sea is the second level on the eastern side of the music box world in Wario Land 3. It is accessible after Wario collects both of the Blue Book (The Peaceful Village's Red Chest) and the Magic Wand (The Grasslands's Green Chest), after which the magic cast from the wand causes the water in the large sea to freeze and making it accessible.

Reaction abilities[edit]

Items[edit]

Treasures[edit]

Gray Chest: Head Smash Helmet[edit]

The Head Smash Helmet[1] is a power-up in the Gray Chest.

The Head Smash Helmet allows Wario to Head Smash,[2] basically being able to destroy blocks from underneath, even solid blocks. This opens the way for new treasures in A Town in Chaos and the Desert Ruins.

Red Chest: Teapot[edit]

Wario getting the Teapot

To get the Teapot[3] from the Red Chest, the Grab Glove from The Steep Canyon's Gray Chest is required.

The Teapot does not affect the world in any way.

Green Chest: Magical Flame[edit]

The Magical Flame inside the Lantern

To get the Magical Flame[3] from the Green Chest, the Scepter from the Cave of Flames's Gray Chest is required to make the water of the sea clear, causing the door underwater to become visible.

In order to access the Green Chest, the switch must be activated again, which can be done by going up the pipe next to the key, and then going left in the same room as before to do so. After that, Wario can access the Green Chest by dropping down the pit, and then going underwater in the left body of water to reach the chest.

The Magical Flame, along with the Lantern from The Big Bridge's Blue Chest, generates a light that causes the Castle of Illusions to unravel its true form from a mountain on the east side, thereby making it accessible.

Blue Chest: UFO[edit]

Wario finding the UFO

To get the UFO[4] from the Blue Chest, the Top Half of Sun Medallion from Sea Turtle Rocks' Green Chest and the Bottom Half of Sun Medallion from Desert Ruin's Blue Chest are required, so that daytime can happen on the eastern part of the world. For this level, it causes the frozen waterfall to melt. Alternatively, if the Prince Frog's Glove is collected from Out of the Woods' Green Chest, this treasure can also be collected regardless of the time of day.

From the Blue Key, the Blue Chest is up from the leftmost thin platform and then to the left.

The UFO does not affect the world in any way.
