When Mario gives both the Cookbook and the [[Frying Pan]] to [[Tayce T.]], she lets Mario cook two items instead of one to make a combined recipe.

The Cookbook is a special item in the Paper Mario series. It gives a chef the ability to combine various items, creating new items in the process as a discovered recipe.

It is first seen in Paper Mario, in which the book is found in Shy Guy's Toy Box, stolen by a Shy Guy during the events of Chapter 4. When Mario gives Gourmet Guy a Cake (baked by Tayce T. after Mario returns her Frying Pan), Gourmet Guy jumps around the area and flies offscreen, dropping the Cookbook.
