Orco (known as Shachee in Japanese and the British GameCube version) is a large blue killer whale and a Jungle Buddy in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. His name comes from "orca", the official name of "killer whale". Orco is generally found simply wandering around aimlessly. Donkey Kong can approach Orco and grab on to his dorsal fin to ride him. Like Enguarde, Orco can smash through underwater barriers. He can also leap out of the water and reach heights.

The New Play Control! version specifically refers to Orco as "he", officially identifying him as male. Despite this, Orco has several traits that are more commonly associated with real-world female killer whales. Most notably, Orco's dorsal fin resembles the shorter, more curved one of a female killer whale as opposed to the longer, triangular dorsal fin of a male killer whale. Additionally, several smaller killer whales follow behind Orco, which is a trait shared with real world dolphins. This is a similar case to an aquatic Animal Friend, Glimmer, who is referred to as male despite resembling a female anglerfish.
