Mario Party: The Top 100:

Three Throw is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party 4, Mario Party: The Top 100, and Super Mario Party Jamboree.[1] Its name is a pun on the basketball term "free throw."

Three Throw is one of three minigames present in The Top 100 to reappear in Jamboree, along with Defuse or Lose and Blame It on the Crane.

Introduction[edit]

The introduction to Three Throw

Each character from left to right is shown catching a basketball. After everyone catches one, they proceed to throw it into a hoop, starting the minigame.

Gameplay[edit]

Each player starts in a line in front of three moving rows of basketball hoops. The goal is to score as many points as possible by making jump shots. Shots made in the top or bottom row are worth one point, and shots made in the faster-moving middle row are worth two points. Only one basketball can be contained in a basket, meaning that if one character makes a shot, no other characters can make shots in that particular basket. However, as the hoops scroll offscreen, empty baskets become available. Halfway through the minigame, the rows switch the direction they move in. Any player who has the most points after 30 seconds is the winner.
