Fortress Zokket is a major location in Mario & Luigi: Brothership, serving as Zokket's HQ. It is visited twice througout the game, the first time while it is flying above Gulchrock Sea and the second while it is grounded in Stormstar Sea. In both visits, it is impossible to leave Fortress Zokket after launching there before defeating the bosses.
After the second visit, Fortress Zokket turns into the Soli-Tree and can no longer be visited.
History
Mario, Luigi, and the rest of Shipshape Island's crew first see Fortress Zokket flying above Gulchrock Sea, where Zokket is at war with Bowser and his minions. The brothers storm the fortress after relighting Gulchrock Sea's Great Lighthouse, launching there using Shipshape's cannon. There, they find Bowser confronting Zokket and the Extension Corps, who had kidnapped his son for leverage. Zokket fires the Glohmatic Quad-Ray at him, turning him into Glohm Bowser. Mario and Luigi fight and defeat Glohm Bowser, returning him to normal. Zokket then chases the brothers out of the fortress with a massive Glohm beam, forcing them to jump out. Fortress Zokket grounds itself in Stormstar Sea, with a large, glowing barrier being formed around it to prevent Shipshape Island from getting near it by normal means. Only after the island is modified by Technikki to fly through the air or Adaphne to submerge underwater are Mario and Luigi able to return to the fortress.
Inside, Zokket gives the Extension Corps one last chance to dispose of Mario and Luigi, otherwise he will infect them with Glohm. They lure Luigi into a trapdoor, separating the brothers and forcing them to use the fortress's Transmitter Blocks to contact one another and reunite. Once they do, they find the Extension Corps and face them in battle. Once defeated, the trio flees, fearing Zokket's punishment. Mario and Luigi find Zokket, who is still nurturing his egg. Though he is unable to take out the brothers himself, it is too late to stop the egg from hatching. Zokket collapses and reverts to his true form, Cozette. Reclusa emerges from the egg and summons a swarm of Doom Blooms that proceed to attack Mario and Luigi. They, alongside Cozette, escape from the fortress, hopping onto either a rocket piloted by Adaphne or Dorrie ridden by the IDLE crew and Technikki depending on whose engine upgrade was not chosen. The Doom Blooms intertwine together to form the Soli-Tree, absorbing Fortress Zokket into it.
