The Greed Wallet is a special equippable accessory item that is obtained from Starbeans Cafe from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and its remake. As with all Special Items, Professor E. Gadd shows up at Starbeans Cafe to drink a type of coffee that has not been brewed before; in this case, the Greed Wallet is the first item E. Gadd rewards the Mario brothers with. When the Greed Wallet is equipped, it doubles the coins the brothers obtain when they defeat enemies in battle. Originally, the Greed Wallet was called Wario's Gold, and it was originally intended to be left behind by Wario, who would appear instead of Professor E. Gadd. Due to Wario being scrapped in the final version, the item was renamed to loosen connection to the character.
