| Bear owns and runs the [[Sheepy Shop]]s, that can be found in all worlds of the game, including the [[Lost World (Donkey Kong Land III)|Lost World]]. When [[Dixie Kong]] and [[Kiddy Kong]] enter his store, Bear will offer them the chance to play a memory game (provided they have a certain number of [[Bonus Coin]]s at that point in the game), the goal of which is to match 10 pairs of cards (somewhat like [[Forget Me Not]] in ''[[Super Paper Mario]]''). However, the [[Kong]]s have a limited amount of time in which to match all the cards. Depending on how many and which cards they've uncovered, Bear will reward them various items such as [[Banana|Banana Bunch]]es, [[Extra Life Balloon]]s, [[DK Coin]]s, [[Bear Coin]]s, and [[Stop Watch]]es. (See the [[Sheepy Shop]] entry for more detailed information on the game.) For two coins, Bear can also provide the Kongs with hints (like [[Cranky Kong]]), and for five coins, he can teleport them from one world to another (like [[Funky Kong]]).

| "Bear" is identical in appearance to [[Bazaar]]. Both the ''Donkey Kong Land III'''s instruction manual and [[Nintendo Power]] articles about the game only refer to him as "the Brothers Bear", implying that Bear is not actually a separate character, but rather a generic stand-in for the [[Brothers Bear]].
