The Giant Banana is an item in Mario Kart: Double Dash. It is a special item that Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong, (and Petey Piranha and King Boo, due to their ability to have any special item) can obtain in Double Dash. It is at least twenty times bigger than the ordinary Banana Peel. Once a driver makes contact with the Giant Banana Peel, it will explode, and in its wake will be three normal banana peels.
In Mario Strikers Charged Football, the Giant Banana was one of the many items used by the players. When used, the player would drop a giant Banana behind them, which would hit anyone who runs into it. It is similar to the Banana item, and the Giant Banana has a larger range, and can hit more than one player. The Giant Banana is perfect to use when one is being chased. However, unlike the smaller bananas, the Giant Banana item only deploys one banana, not multiple bananas.
