A slug[1] is a giant colorful creature that appears in Yoshi's Story. It also has two bulging eyes. In the Jelly Pipe, a Yoshi can go into a vase and enter a room with a slug crawling up, down, and horizontally on the walls. According to the Nintendo Power guide, this one coated the Jelly Pipe with slime.[2] Two slugs also appear in the Magma Castle, where they are both fought in the same room. Slugs can be defeated by throwing Yoshi eggs close to their eyes so that the explosions touch their eyes and cause damage. A slug is defeated after three hits, dropping a special prize upon defeat.
