In Slime's special shot, it summons three other slimes, each one with a different color: pink, yellow, and green. The Slime is unlocked by winning 28 games. If players pick Slime 20 times in a sport, they unlock an alternate, orange version of Slime called She-Slime.  The alternate color can also be unlocked by clearing a certain mission on the Star Cup or 20 picks as Slime. The same can be told of a second alternate color, Metal Slime, except players must either pick it 40 times or defeat it at the Star Cup.

Slime, Fortune Street

Slime is a species, as well as a character, from the Dragon Quest series of games which is published by Square Enix. Slime appears as a playable character alongside Super Mario characters in Itadaki Street DS, Mario Sports Mix, and Fortune Street. Originating from the first Dragon Quest game, the Slime has become the mascot for the Dragon Quest series, and is a fairly common, weak enemy in the games.

History[edit]

Captain N: The Game Master[edit]

Slime (Dragon Quest)
Three Slimes from Captain N: The Game Master

Some Slimes appear in the Captain N: The Game Master episode "The Trojan Dragon" to battle the N Team only to lose and drop two gold coins each. The Slimes have a more menacing design than in the games and attack through spitting acidic slime. The sound effect used for their attack is Fire Mario's use of fireballs.

Fortune Street series[edit]

Itadaki Street DS[edit]

In Itadaki Street DS, Slime appears as a playable character. This game marks the first appearance of Slime alongside the Super Mario franchise characters. The Slime Mask, Slime Suit, and Slime Maracas are collectible items that can be equipped on customizable characters. The Healslime, a subspecies to the Slimes also appearing in the Dragon Quest series, also appears in the game.

Fortune Street[edit]

In Fortune Street, Slime along with other Dragon Quest characters return as playable characters. As in the predecessor Itadaki Street DS, Slime is a default playable character. Slime's difficulty rating is D, meaning that it is easier to beat than most other characters in the game. In the Slurpodrome, the players must choose one of five Slimes.

Mario Sports Mix[edit]

Slime and Ninja in Mario Sports Mix

Slime reappears in Mario Sports Mix for the Wii as an unlockable playable character. It is classified as a Tricky type character, and is the only character not originating from the Super Mario or Final Fantasy series as well as the only new character in the game (not counting Miis). Slime's best stat is its power, while it suffers from weak speed and abysmal technique.

In Slime's special shot, it summons three other slimes, each one with a different color: pink, yellow, and green. The Slime is unlocked by winning 28 games. If players pick Slime 20 times in a sport, they unlock an alternate, orange version of Slime called She-Slime. The alternate color can also be unlocked by clearing a certain mission on the Star Cup. Also, if players pick Slime 40 times in a sport or clear a certain mission on the Star Cup, they unlock an alternate, silver version of Slime called Metal Slime.

On a side note, Slime is the only character who has their name changed when their alternate colors are chosen, and it is the only character to have two alternate colors.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

Slimes appear in the background of Yggdrasil's Altar, a downloadable stage in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. On rare occasions, a Liquid Metal Slime may appear. Both types also appear as DLC spirits. A Slime Hat appears as purchasable headgear that can be worn by any class of the Mii Fighters. Slimes additionally appear in Hero's reveal trailer, one of his victory animations, and his down taunt.
