The garlic bottle[1] (or Garlic Bottle[2]), also known as Garlic Pot,[3] Hard Hat,[4] Garlic[5] or a Pot,[6] is a power-up item in Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 and Virtual Boy Wario Land. It has the same role in both games, and it appears within various ? Blocks in most levels. A garlic bottle turns Wario into Bull Wario, who can Ground Pound and do more powerful Barges, though if Wario is small, the power-up changes him to normal size instead. In the former game, it can be collected for hearts if Wario is already Bull Wario, while in Virtual Boy Wario Land, it cannot be collected by Bull Wario or King Dragon Wario.
In Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3, the Garlic Pot is one of the Power Up Pots, appearing as a stylized jar with angry eyes on a garlic head-shaped underside. In Virtual Boy Wario Land, it is instead a garlic-shaped phial with a jagged arrow pointing to the upper right.
