A Small Urchin[1] is an enemy in New Super Mario Bros. 2. Small Urchins are encountered in World 3 only. They are a smaller variant of Urchins that lack a mouth. Unlike regular Urchins and Big Urchins, Small Urchins are always stationary. Small Urchins can be defeated with a Fire Flower, Super Leaf, Gold Flower, or Super Star.
