- —Ethering, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
Ethering is a Spark that appears in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. It is located in the Darkmess Puddle battle Wolf at the Door. After the battle, Ethering joins the heroes on their adventure.
In battle, Ethering's ability is Unseen, which makes a Hero invisible for a single turn.[1][2] While a Hero is invisible, enemies cannot directly attack them, but the Hero can still take damage by other means and be affected by Super Effects.[1] The ability's duration and cooldown can be upgraded by feeding Star Bits to Ethering. Its passive ability is Athlete, which increases the damage inflicted by move abilities. The passive ability can also be upgraded.[1]
Ethering is a somewhat tall, light-blue ghost-like Spark with a blue, fiery aura surrounding it. It also has red eyes (thus being the only Spark to have eyes of this color) and a blue tongue that always sticks out of its mouth. Its voice sounds very similar to that of a Boo, as it is almost entirely composed of evil-sounding laughing.
