- —Regenesis, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
Regenesis is a Spark that appears in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. It is located in Pristine Peaks, after the first Darkmess Tentacle is cleared. Regenesis has a side quest called Hide N' Squeak, in which the Heroes have to find three Penguins, and then throw them on a boat. After this is done, the boat becomes engulfed by Darkmess, and the Heroes must stop it in a battle, known as View from the Lake. After the battle, Regenesis joins the Heroes, while also stating that it was voted out as captain by the penguins.
Regenesis's ability is Regen, which heals a Hero by a percentage of their HP for a few turns. The amount healed, cooldown, and how long the healing lasts can be upgraded by feeding Star Bits to Regenesis. Its passive ability is Healing Booster, which increases the maximum HP for the Hero. The amount of additional HP can also be upgraded.
Regenesis is a magenta, quadrupedal Spark that has a balloon full of hearts attached to it. It has a childlike, playful personality, as it was playing hide-and-seek with penguins before deciding to play "pirate" instead. Regenesis even utters the phrase "Olly olly oxen free!", a declaration of a truce in a children's game, possibly because Regenesis could not find the penguins. Regenesis's name might be a portmanteau of the words "regenerate" and "genesis".

Trivia[edit]
- Regenesis's model differs between in battle and the Spark menu. In the latter, the balloon's thread above Regenesis is arranged horizontally, possibly due to the lack of screen space. Also, prior to the The Tower of Doooom update, the balloon itself had no animation in the menu.
