Whispy Woods is a commonly-recurring tree character in the Kirby series, where he acts as the first boss in most of his appearances. Whispy Woods has sometimes appeared in Super Mario publications in other languages, including the Club Nintendo magazine and Super Mario-kun.

History

Club Nintendo magazine

Whispy Woods makes a short appearance in the Club Nintendo comic "Super Mario: Mario im Wunderland." He is the first creature Mario encounters in Wunderland when he accidentally gets there. He does not serve as an enemy here, though; rather he advises Mario to go to Crab, a wizard who is able to fulfill desires.

Super Mario-kun

In volume 7 of Super Mario-kun, Whispy Woods makes a cameo in one panel, apparently among the "items" stolen by the collector.
