A Super Mushroom is a red Mushroom that allows whoever eats one to grow to an enormous size.
In relation to Mario Kart, a Super Mushroom is an item that gives the user a short burst of speed.
In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Super Mushrooms restore 50 HP to whoever eats one.
In Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, they are known as Super Shrooms and they replenish 10 HP.
During the Super Mario Bros. days, they were sometimes called Magic Mushrooms.
