Hoofer has abilities similar to Rambi from Donkey Kong Country. This powerful wildebeest can smash through enemies and barriers with ease. At the end of a level, if Hoofer touches a pile of fruit he will perform a gigantic leap which can give Donkey Kong a certain number of beats depending on the distance traveled.
He later appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a sticker.
