Template:Coinpackbox Gold Rush Pack[1] (named Go! Go! Gold Mario Pack in Japan[2]) is the first of three Coin Rush packs for New Super Mario Bros. 2 released in Japan, Europe, and Australia on October 2nd, 2012, and was released in North America on October 4th, 2012. The pack consists of courses filled with large amounts of coins, with Gold Flowers being the primary power-up. It is rated one out of five stars in difficulty, making it the easiest pack of the three released on October 2012.

This pack uses 3 blocks on the SD card when bought alone.

Course 1

Template:Levelbox This course is a sky level, similar to the ones found in World 5, such as World 5-3. The majority of the enemies are Goomba Towers, whose sizes vary.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: Suspended in mid-air, right before a Gold Ring, the player must use the Goomba Tower to reach it.
  • Star Coin 2: Halfway through the level, under a plaform inbetween two Goomba Towers.
  • Star Coin 3: Near the end of the level, within a small gap near a Clock.

Enemies

Course 2

Template:Levelbox A level similar to World 5-A, except in a seaside-like area instead of the sky. Also, when entering the cave, jump on the three blocks and go inside a green Warp Pipe to find a bonus area with Cheep-Cheeps jumping and a Starman with Gold Flowers.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: Suspended over water, the player needs to wait until it is in between the ship's gap in the middle.
  • Star Coin 2: In the middle of the level, in mid-air, between a few coins.
  • Star Coin 3: Between a few Brick Blocks, the player can either enter it from the bottom, or ground-pound the blocks on top.

Enemies

Course 3

Template:Levelbox A Tower level with Thwomps, Super Thwomps, and Super Dry Bones. One block before the end of the level has a Mega Mushroom. A Coin Coffer makes an appearance when the player touches the Red Ring near the end of the level.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: When close to the Two thwomps after the Super Thwomp, hit the ? Blocks to get a Mega Mushroom. Go to the right, ground pound the super hard blocks, and enter the Green Pipe when Mario/Luigi is in normal size.
  • Star Coin 2: When in the room with the POW Blocks, go to the left side and keep on going down to find the Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 3: In the same room as above, when seeing the Thwomps after the second Coin, defeat them with the Gold Flower and jump where the middle Thwomp was. Hidden blocks will reveal and jump on top of those. Destroy the brick blocks above them and the Star Coin will appear.
