In the foreground; there are various conveyor belts, girders, trashcans, and power lines for Mario to flip and jump off of. Big-City is World 1 of the game Donkey Kong for the Game Boy. After Donkey Kong gets defeated in World 0, the construction site, he takes Mario's girlfriend Pauline and escapes with her to this city. Mario chases them from behind. The city introduces most of the new gameplay elements of the Game Boy game, such as Keys that need to be taken to Doors to proceed in the levels, as well as Roads and Ladders that can be freely placed. Big-City features 8 stages, 2 of them are boss fights with Donkey Kong. Mario has to defeat Donkey Kong with barrels in stage 1-8.
