Template:Species-infobox Knockas are green lanky Kremlings who hide in green barrels with faces painted on them. They are encountered in both Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. According to the game's credits, Knockas belong to the "Kremling Kreeps" enemy class.

In Donkey Kong Country 3, Knockas are fairly common enemies, encountered in a large amount of levels. Knockas have an attack pattern similar to an earlier enemy named Klobber; a Knocka waits hidden in its barrel, and if either Dixie Kong or Kiddy Kong pass by the foe it will spring forth out of its barrel and begin trying to ram the Kongs. Since a Knocka cannot directly hurt a Kong, they try to ram them into either another enemy or an abyss. A Knocka can be defeated by simply jumping on it, knocking it back into its barrel. Once back in its barrel, it can simply be picked up and thrown away.

In later levels of Donkey Kong Country 3 two barrel wearing sub-species of Knockas, Klasps and Kuchukas are encountered. Also, in the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 3, an explosive version of Knockas, Krackas, are encountered in one level of the game.

Donkey Kong Land III

In Donkey Kong Land III, Knockas, along with Klasps and Kuchukas, are still semi-common enemies. The game erroneously lists Knockas as Krushas, however, yet aside from the name, there is no real difference between the Knockas of Donkey Kong Country 3 and Donkey Kong Land III.

When Knocka is carried by a Kong, it changes from green to red, because it uses the same exact sprite as a regular carried barrel, which includes the color palette. Once it is placed back on the ground, it reverts to green.
