The Metalheads battle in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
The "Metalheads" battle

Metalheads is a battle in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, located on the planet Terra Flora, specifically inside Mt. Spout. This battle is part of the Main Quest Uncork the Volcano. The name of this battle is based on the adjective "Metalhead", which means a person who likes metal music.

While the heroes are exploring Mt. Spout, a Darkmess Puddle blocks the way, and must be cleared out in this battle. This battle marks the first and only Main Story appearance of Armored Goombas, which are impervious to all damage, and can only be defeated by going out of bounds. The heroes must defeat all of the Armored Goombas to win the battle.

Objective

  • Armored Goomba icon from Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Defeat Armored Goombas (17 of them)

Layout

The battlefield is of a medium sized square shape, with three levels of elevation. The battlefield is also similar to that of a bowl, with the elevation decreasing in the center. The top left part of the middle elevation is the lowest elevation. The complete center of the battlefield is a hole, where characters could be out of bounds. The right side of the highest elevation has two points of even higher ground, at the top and bottom right respectively. Pipes connect around the edges of the battlefield, along with another pipe and a ramp for the lowest elevation. There are Jump Panels and barrels containing the Gust and Splash Super Effect scattered throughout the battlefield.

The 17 Armored Goombas are scattered everywhere throughout the battlefield, but there are also 4 Lone Wolves at the left and right sides of the battlefield; two of them are at the left, and the other two are at the right.

Battle

The heroes must defeat all 17 of the Armored Goombas to win the battle. After they are defeated, the battle is won.
