Spiny Surge is one of Lakilester's default attacks in the game Paper Mario. At the cost of four FP, he will throw multiple Spiny Eggs at all of the enemies. To perform the Action Command, the player needs to repeatedly tilt (Control Stick left) to fill a gauge. The damage will then depend on how far the gauge is filled, doing up to 4 damage at Ultra Rank.

Lakilester also uses this move in Super Mario-Kun when he is facing Huff N. Puff.
