Plum is an amateur golfer who appears in the sports title Mario Golf. She is one of the first playable golfers in the game. Plum is generally a well-balanced golfer, though she lacks strength; as such, she cannot drive the ball very far. However, Plum makes up for her lack of power with technique and control.

She was dropped in later titles, making Mario Golf (Nintendo 64) her only playable appearance. She also made an appearance in Mario Golf for Game Boy Color in Dictionary.

Additionally, a trophy is modeled in Plum's likeness in Super Smash Bros. Melee, but Plum is the only generic golfer with a trophy. Plum recently appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as a Sticker that raises attack power by five.

Plum is one of the first playable golfers in Mario Golf. She's not all that strong, so her drives tend to lack distance. On the other hand, her strike area is large and allows for refined control. She's a very stable golfer, both well balanced and easy to master, which makes her a favorite among beginners and pros alike. |

Trivia
- Plum's shoes were depicted completely white in her official artwork, although they are brown and white in the Nintendo 64 game and for her trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and in the Game Boy Color version of Mario Golf, they were red.
- Plum's hair is dark brown in both the official artwork and in the Nintendo 64 game, although in the Game Boy Color version, it is red due to the 8-bit color restrictions. On her Super Smash Bros. Melee trophy, her hair color was depicted nearly black.
