Gems, also referred to as gemstones, are valuable objects found in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Luigi's Mansion 3. They bear a resemblance to Stones from the preceding game, Luigi's Mansion, though these items serve as collectibles rather than containing a value of gold. In Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, there are thirteen gems hidden in each of the five mansions in the game, making a grand total of 65 gems in the entire game. Amethysts are found in Gloomy Manor, emeralds are found in Haunted Towers, rubies are found in Old Clockworks, sapphires are found in Secret Mine, and diamonds are found in Treacherous Mansion. The coloration of the five sets of thirteen gems corresponds to the theme of the five mansions. Unlike the Red, Blue, and Gold Diamonds found in the original game, gems do not function as a form of currency but rather as a collectible. Once the player has collected all thirteen gems in a mansion, they will be rewarded with one of five different statues of Luigi with the gems encrusted in the stand. The player can see the gems they have collected inside the Vault, on the mansion select screen, when one is collected in a mansion, and when the totals and records are displayed at the end of a mission. Any statues that have been unlocked can only be viewed inside the Vault.

Some gems can be obtained in any mission, while some can be obtained only in a specific mission or once certain conditions have been met.

In Luigi's Mansion 3, there is one blue, one green, one white, one purple, one yellow, and one red gem per floor, making a total of six gems per floor. The gems will be a different shape depending on the floor. The gems on B2 (Boilerworks) are shaped like wrenches. The gems on floor B1 are square. The gems in the main lobby are shaped like diamonds. The gems on the fifth floor (RIP Suites) are a rectangular shape. The gems on the second floor (Mezzanine) have an oval shape. The gems on the third floor (Hotel Shops) are shaped like teardrops. The gems on the fourth floor (The Great Stage) are shaped like quavers. The gems on the sixth floor (Castle MacFrights) are shaped like swords. The gems on the seventh floor (Garden Suites) are shaped like flowers. The gems on the eighth floor (Paranormal Productions) are shaped like film reels. The gems on the ninth floor (Unnatural History Museum) are shaped like T-rex prints. The gems on the 10th floor (Tomb Suites) are shaped like snakes. The gems on the 11th floor (Twisted Suites) are shaped like dice. The gems on the 12th floor (The Spectral Catch) are shaped like a skull and crossbones. The gems on the 13th floor (Fitness Center) are shaped like dumbbells. The gems on the 14th floor (Dance Hall) are shaped like headphones. The gems on the 15th floor (Master Suites) are shaped like King Boo.

Once all the gems are collected on all floors, the player unlocks Suction Shot Type-B.

	Pebble Amethyst	A-3, A-4, A-5, A-Bonus	Dining Room – The player needs to use the Strobulb on a safe in the ceiling.
	Rhombus Amethyst	A-2, A-3, A-4, A-5, A-Bonus	Kitchen – The player should interact with the stove (walk up to it and press ) in order to start a fire. Then, the player should open the fridge to reveal this gem frozen in ice. The player can melt the ice with the stove's open flames.
	Star Amethyst	A-3, A-4, A-5, A-Bonus	Foyer – In the Common Hall, the player should go to the end of the hall and use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a hidden door. The door will lead to the Patio. In the Patio, the player can reveal another door along the left wall by using the Dark-Light Device. The player should enter the door to be in a new area (Under the Stairs). The player should then take the door on the left to be taken to the Foyer (behind the fish tank), where the amethyst can be found.
	Octagon Amethyst	A-3, A-4, A-5, A-Bonus	Patio – The player should use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a hidden fountain next to the other two in the water.
	Oval Amethyst	A-3, A-4, A-5, A-Bonus	Library – The player should use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a hidden globe along the left wall. The player can then shoot the globe out of the Poltergust 5000 to reveal the gem.
	Spindle Amethyst	A-2, A-3, A-4, A-5, A-Bonus	Study – The player needs to pull down the leftmost curtains on the back wall. Then the player will need to shine the Dark-Light Device on the painting to reveal the gem.
	Coffin Amethyst	A-5, A-Bonus	Rafters – This gem is on top of a dresser on the far right side of the area. The player can vacuum it down easily.
	Mushroom Amethyst	A-5, A-Bonus	Bedroom – The player needs to burn the giant web, then run behind it to find this amethyst.

	Football Emerald	B-2, B-3, B-4, B-5, B-Bonus	Botany Lab – The player should fill up the bucket (in this room) with water, then use it to water the flower on the back wall. After the flower grows, the player should use their Strobulb on it to reveal this emerald.
	Drop Emerald	B-2, B-3, B-4, B-5, B-Bonus	Seedling Laboratory – After defeating all the ghosts in this room, the player should use the seed shooter to shoot the mouse carrying this emerald.
	Pebble Emerald	B-2, B-3, B-4, B-5, B-Bonus	Tower Lobby/Maintenance/West Garden – In the Tower Lobby, the player needs to reveal some invisible pipes on the left wall by using the Dark-Light Device. After that, the player needs to reveal a hidden door (with the Dark-Light Device) next to the left one on the bottom floor. Inside, the player needs to use the Thorn Plant to defeat the Venus Trap and access the emerald.
	Rhombus Emerald	B-3, B-Bonus	Hollow Tree – After climbing to the top and falling back down, the player needs to light up a ball of silk and use it to burn the cobwebs on the left side. Behind the web is a bucket, which the player can fill using the water in the middle of the room. The player needs to take the filled bucket to the right side and water a flower. After it has grown, the player needs to use the Strobulb on it to reveal the emerald.
	Star Emerald	B-3, B-4, B-5, B-Bonus	Old Cemetery – The emerald is sitting on a tree branch on the left side of the area. The player must use the vacuum to grab it.
	Octagon Emerald	B-4, B-Bonus	Skybridge – The player needs to vacuum the third plant hanging in order to get this emerald.
	Oval Emerald	B-4, B-Bonus	Rumpus Room – The player needs to walk around the doll counterclockwise in order to reveal the emerald.
	Spindle Emerald	B-4, B-5, B-Bonus	Solarium – The player needs to use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a chest hidden on the table.
	Coffin Emerald	B-4	Conservatory – The player should use a Balloon Berry to float to a balcony to the right, then the player needs to use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a hidden door. When the player enters, they will be in a bonus area, and the goal is to collect all eight red coins within 15 seconds. Upon doing so, a chest containing the emerald will appear.
	Mushroom Emerald	B-4, B-5, B-Bonus	West Bathroom – After defeating all the ghosts in this room, the player should pull on the toilet paper roll on the left wall to reveal this emerald.

Rubies (Old Clockworks)

	Baguette Ruby	C-1, C-2, C-3, C-4, C-5, C-Boss, C-Bonus	Clock Tower Gate – The player needs to use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a hidden toolbox in the top left corner of the room.
	Football Ruby	C-2, C-3, C-4, C-5, C-Bonus	Storm Cellar – The player needs to vacuum a sheet in the bottom left corner to reveal a painting. The player should use the Dark-Light Device on it to reveal the ruby.
	Drop Ruby	C-2, C-3, C-4, C-5, C-Bonus	Canyon Hall/Canyon Stairs – In the Canyon Hall, the player should take a detour down a secret passageway on the right. There will be a door that leads to the Canyon Stairs. The player should notice the gem stuck on a cobweb along the right wall. The player should use the vacuum to get the ruby.
	Pebble Ruby	C-2, C-3, C-4, C-5, C-Bonus	Quarry – The player needs to pull on the mine cart twice to reveal a hole behind it. The player should go into this hole to find the ruby.
	Rhombus Ruby	C-3, C-4, C-5, C-Bonus	Clockmaker's Chambers – The player will need to vacuum the rug to reveal a gear. The player needs to vacuum up/blow on the gear and make the alarm clock set to 9:00. Upon doing so, a ghost (holding the ruby) will wake up. The player must defeat the ghost to obtain this ruby.
	Star Ruby	C-3, C-4, C-5, C-Bonus	Roundhouse (Upper) – The player needs to cross the beams located in the middle of the walkway along the back balcony. Then they should follow this walkway to find a toolbox containing this ruby.
	Octagon Ruby	C-3, C-4, C-5, C-Bonus	Roundhouse (Lower) – The player needs to use the door in the Transportation Hall that leads to the Roundhouse. After going down the first set of stairs, the player needs to continue going left into a secret area containing the ruby.
	Oval Ruby	C-5	Gear Chamber – The player needs to cross the boxes along the right wall. (Luigi needs to reveal some of them by using the Dark-Light Device.) This leads to a hidden door containing a bonus room, where the player must collect eight red coins within 15 seconds. Upon doing so, a chest containing this ruby will appear.
	Spindle Ruby	C-5, C-Bonus	Maintenance Hub – The player needs to use the Strobulb on the mechanism along the wall. This will cause a rope to appear. The player should grab the rope and fall into the pit below. The player should use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a chest in the center of the area, which contains this ruby.
	Coffin Ruby	C-5	Service Elevator – After leading Toad here, the player should pick him up and launch him toward the bottom right corner of the area. Toad will land on a walkway, where he will grab the ruby.
	Mushroom Ruby	C-Boss, C-Bonus	Movements – The player needs to walk up to the window on the left, then vacuum the ruby to acquire it.

Sapphires (Secret Mine)

	Baguette Sapphire	D-1	Under the Ice – After falling down here, the player needs to pick up Toad and launch him into the shaft on the upper balcony.
	Football Sapphire	D-1, D-2, D-3, D-Bonus	High Wires – The player needs to use the cables to cross the ravine, then the player needs to vacuum the sapphire down from the bird's nest.
	Drop Sapphire	D-1, D-2, D-3, D-Bonus	Airway – The player will need to enter the Airway via the Terminal. Then, the player needs to look into the telescope and spot the sapphire being taken to a barrel on the lower area. The player needs to get to the barrel and look inside to find the sapphire.
	Pebble Sapphire	D-2, D-3, D-Bonus	Chalet Approach – The player needs to use a flaming turkey (left of door) to burn the ice surrounding the painting in front of the snowman. Then, the player needs to use the Dark-Light Device on the painting to reveal the sapphire.
	Rhombus Sapphire	D-2, D-3, D-Bonus	Prospector's Crossing – The player needs to use the Dark-Light Device to reveal an axe in the bottom right corner of the room. After exposing it, the player needs to use their vacuum on it to reveal two logs. The player must place the two logs and Luigi on the ice to get the sapphire.
	Star Sapphire	D-2, D-3, D-Bonus	Skip Slope – While sliding down the slope, the player may notice a big spinning wheel to the left. The player needs to slide behind the wheel to get this sapphire.
	Octagon Sapphire	D-2, D-3, D-Bonus	Shaft – At the bottom of the Shaft, the player may notice a chain hanging on the wall. The player needs to pull the chain, which will open a hatch further up the Shaft. The player must then climb back up the Shaft to get this sapphire.
	Oval Sapphire	D-2, D-3, D-Bonus	Deep Hall – The player must light a piece of coal and shoot it at the sapphire located above the door leading to the Crystal Quarry.
	Spindle Sapphire	D-3, D-Bonus	Crossroads – The player must use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a hidden mine cart on the left wall. After exposing it, the player must vacuum the snow in order to get this sapphire.
	Coffin Sapphire	D-3, D-Bonus	Crystal Quarry/Chalet – The player needs to use the portal located in the Crystal Quarry, which will take them to the Chalet, and the sapphire will be exposed.
	Mushroom Sapphire	D-3	High Wires – The player needs to use the Coal Shooter in the Gondola to melt the ice supporting a tree on the left. After the tree falls, the player can cross it to find an outhouse, which contains a bonus room. The goal is to shoot a snowball at each of the three Hiders in under 60 seconds. Upon doing so, the sapphire will be revealed.

Diamonds (Treacherous Mansion)

	Drop Diamond	E-2, E-3, E-5, E-Bonus	Restrooms – The player should pull the chain in the west half of the Restrooms.
	Pebble Diamond	E-2, E-Bonus	Ice Age Exhibit/Gargoyle Roof – The player needs to launch the stars into the constellation's empty slots.
	Rhombus Diamond	E-2, E-3, E-5, E-Bonus	Ancient Exhibit – The player should water the sprout near the door, then flash the purple flower with the Strobulb.
	Star Diamond	E-3, E-5, E-Bonus	Aviation Exhibit – The player must pull each of the hot air balloon's sandbags.
	Octagon Diamond	E-3, E-5, E-Bonus	Nautical Exhibit – The player needs to open the chest at the end of the pirate ship.
	Oval Diamond	E-3, E-5, E-Bonus	Front Entrance/Dark Age Exhibit – The player needs to place the blue book from the Front Entrance into the slot on the bookcase.
	Spindle Diamond	E-3	Jungle Exhibit – The player should use the Gold Bulb to collect the coins that appear, then open the revealed chest.
	Coffin Diamond	E-3	Ice Age Exhibit – The player should use the Gold Bulb to collect the coins that appear, then open the revealed chest.
	Mushroom Diamond	E-3, E-5, E-Bonus	Train Exhibit – The player needs to use the Dark-Light Device to reveal the missing piece of the track, then ride the train around the room.

Luigi's Mansion 3

B1 (Basement)

	White Gem	In the garage next to the red car where Luigi finds the Poltergust G-00, there is a car cover by a tapestry. The player should pull the tapestry off to reveal a blue car with a Strobulb terminal. The player should flash the terminal and the gem will pop out of the trunk.
	Red Gem	In the garage to the far right, the player should use Gooigi to go through the fence and use the Suction Shot to open the electric supply box, inside of which he must flash the Strobulb to release the gem.
	Blue Gem	In the garage, through a vent next to the red car which must be opened with the Suction Shot, Luigi must climb the ladder to the top off the room, then have Gooigi drop through a grate to the layer where the gem resides.
	Green Gem	In the laundry room, the gem can be seen in the washing machine. The player must simply aim the plunger at the machine and pull the door off to get the green gem.
	Purple Gem	In the hallway outside the garage, a painting with said gem can be found. The player must shine their Dark Light flashlight on the painting to receive the gem.
	Yellow Gem	In the stair room to the Grand Lobby, right in front of the door to the Grand Lobby is a grate which Gooigi must drop down, to the layer with the gem.

1 (Grand Lobby)

	White Gem	In the area to the left of the main area, there is a couch missing. The player will have to use the Dark-Light to reveal the couch. Upon revealing the couch, a Gem Ghost will appear. The player will have to defeat the Gem Ghost to collect the White Gem.
	Red Gem	To the left of the elevator, there is a picture of the hotel. The player will have to use the suction shot on the gear on the front of the table to reveal the gem behind the painting.
	Blue Gem	On the second level in the left corner of the lobby, the player will need to roll the carpet up to reveal some grates. The player will then use Gooigi to slip through the grates and behind the gem. Gooigi will use the Burst move to blow the gem from the wall.
	Green Gem	Upon exiting the elevator, there is a pot with the gem inside on the right. The player must use the suction shot on the pot to free the gem.
	Purple Gem	In the main area behind the front desk, there is a Strobulb terminal. The player will have to flash the terminal to acquire the Purple Gem.
	Yellow Gem	In the main area, there are two pressure plates near the gargoyles. The player will need to use Gooigi and Luigi to activate both pressure plates to lower the chandelier, both must then vacuum the chandelier together to make it spin and cause the gem to suddenly drop.

5 (RIP Suites)

	White Gem	On the balcony of Professor E. Gadd's room (where his briefcase is first taken by Chambrea), Luigi must look into the telescope until a Gem Ghost appears. Defeating it will release the gem.
	Red Gem	In Princess Peach's room, Luigi must use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a door right of the wardrobe, leading to the balcony. Heading right will lead to a Gargoyle with the gem in its mouth.
	Blue Gem	To the far right of the elevator is a room blocked by a vending machine, which Luigi must remove using the Suction Shot. Inside this room, Luigi must use the Suction Shot to open a shaft in the top-left corner, inside of which is the gem.
	Green Gem	In the right hallway, Luigi must launch a ball from a statue to a demon head, releasing a gem.
	Purple Gem	In the bathroom of the room left of Professor E. Gadd's, Luigi should clear a tapestry in the top-left, then clear some debris with the Suction Shot in the following room to reach the gem.
	Yellow Gem	In the bathroom of Mario's room, Luigi should remove the shower curtain, and Gooigi should drop through the grate, use the Suction Shot to clear planks of wood, then turn the valve. Luigi should then turn on the shower to cause a box to come out of the bath tub. Destroying the box releases the gem.

3 (Hotel Shops)

	White Gem	In the mall, Luigi should go through a gate above the bottom-right shop, then follow the path to a chest containing the gem.
	Red Gem	In the heart-marked shop, Gooigi should use the Suction Shot on a Mannequin on the left, which will open a secret door. Inside Gooigi should vacuum the gem from the wall.
	Blue Gem	Right outside Kruller's office is a vending machine, which if flashed with the Strobulb multiple times will release the gem.
	Green Gem	Outside the diamond-marked shop, Luigi should use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a ladder on the left. Climbing it and following the path leads to a chest containing the gem.
	Purple Gem	In the toilet room, Luigi should use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a grate which Gooigi should drop down, and turn off a valve, then he should be recalled and sent through a grate in the left wall, and the gem will be in the cubicle on the left.
	Yellow Gem	In the diamond-marked shop, Gooigi should slam a suitcase into the middle glass.

2 (Mezzanine)

	White Gem	Inside the right toilet room, Luigi should open the cubicle on the right and vacuum the newspaper, causing a Gem Ghost to appear.
	Red Gem	In the room where Professor E. Gadd was rescued, Luigi should vacuum the chandelier to open a room on the left, inside of which is the gem.
	Blue Gem	In the kitchen, Luigi should open the left freezer, inside of which under the shelves on the left is a block of ice containing the gem. Luigi can melt the ice by holding it over the stove.
	Green Gem	In the room left to where the Dark-Light Device was obtained, Luigi should vacuum some clothes on the left, behind of which is a safe containing the gem, which is opened with the Strobulb.
	Purple Gem	In the room with the pool table, Luigi should launch a sword onto the dartboard.
	Yellow Gem	In front of the door to the dining room, Luigi should use the Suction Shot to destroy the menu sign, then have himself vacuum one fan and Gooigi vacuum the other at the same time.

4 (The Great Stage)

	White Gem	In the left toilet room, Luigi should use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a tap, and turning it on will cause a Gem Ghost to appear.
	Red Gem	In Amaedus Wolfgeist's room, Luigi should use the Dark-Light Device on the piano to reveal some piano keys, then he must play it.
	Blue Gem	In the right toilet room, Gooigi should go through the gate and pull on the chain to make the Boo door accessible. Luigi should go through and in the following room he should blow on the tops of the bottles from left to right to open a safe containing the gem.
	Green Gem	This gem cannot be obtained until the Super Suction is unlocked much later in the game. On the stage, Luigi should use the Burst on a square in front of the portrait Toad was trapped in, causing a socket to come out. Luigi should use the Super Suction to pull away the back wall to reveal a hidden room, inside of which is a TV which leads to one of the stands where Luigi should use Burst.
	Purple Gem	Outside the elevator, Luigi should blow on the Tuba, and Gooigi should retrieve it.
	Yellow Gem	In the far left of the main hallway, Luigi should keep flashing the Popcorn stand with the Strobulb until it explodes.

6 (Castle MacFrights)

	Red Gem	In the hall just before the arena balcony, Luigi should use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a suit of armour in the top-right aclove. Destroying it with the Suction Shot will release the gem.
	Blue Gem	In the room with the three big barrels, Luigi should use the Suction Shot to open the barrel on the right, then walk through the opening inside the barrel to a ladder, at the top of which is the gem.
	Green Gem	In the hall before the arena, Luigi should vacuum the last tapestry and use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a door, inside of which is the Royal Coffers.
	Purple Gem	In the hall left of the arena balcony, Luigi should use the Suction Shot on the loose stones, revealing a chest containing the gem.
	Yellow Gem	At the bottom of the room with the lift, Luigi should vacuum a fan on the left wall to lower a cage containing the gem, which Gooigi can walk through.

7 (Garden Suites)

	White Gem	In the bathroom with watermelons, Luigi should turn on the tap in the bath tub, then Gooigi should drop down the grate and use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a hidden part of the drain pipe and water a flower. Flashing the flower with the Strobulb will reveal the gem.
	Red Gem	In the first bedroom, Luigi should vacuum some leaves south of the bed, then use the Suction Shot to open a shaft which Gooigi can enter, leading to the top of the bed where there is a flower, which will release the gem after being flashed with the Strobulb.
	Blue Gem	On the top of the giant plant, Luigi should vacuum on the left of it to extend a branch, then vacuum some leaves to clear a path leading to the gem.
	Green Gem	In the bedroom with mushrooms, Luigi should walk along the roots going over the bed, leading to an area under the bedroom. Towards the back is a pipe which Gooigi can enter, leading to a flower which if flashed with the Strobulb will reveal the gem.
	Purple Gem	In the bathroom with rose petals, Luigi should clear the pile nearest the toilet to reveal a grate which Gooigi can drop down. In the following area, Gooigi should vacuum some leaves in the top-right to clear a pipe which he must go through to enter the bath tub, and clearing the rose petals will reveal the gem.
	Yellow Gem	Around the corner of the elevator, Luigi should use the Dark-Light Device under the painting on the right to reveal the gem, then vacuum it.

8 (Paranormal Productions)

	White Gem	In the burning town set, Luigi should vacuum the scarf off the bicycle on the right, causing a Gem Ghost to appear.
	Red Gem	In the room leading to the backstage, Luigi should vacuum the carpet under the TV from the bottom-left corner, destroying a plant with the Suction Shot beforehand.
	Blue Gem	In the backstage, Luigi should go to the rafters using Gooigi to operate the lift from below. In the rafters is a block of ice containing the gem, which can be melted by using the torch from the castle set. Alternatively, before the cameras become unusable, Gooigi can melt the ice block in the burning town set.
	Green Gem	In the giant item set, Gooigi should enter the bottle from where the top is.
	Purple Gem	In the room with the elevator, Luigi should lower the helicopter using the Poltergust G-00.
	Yellow Gem	In the room leading to the backstage, Luigi should pull on the film reel on the reception desk to release the gem behind the desk, which Gooigi must retrieve.

9 (Unatural History Museum)

	Red Gem	South of the elevator is a desk. Luigi can blow on the chair to rotate the desk and in its place a chest containing the gem will appear.
	Blue Gem	On the left hall of the lobby, Luigi should vacuum some plants to reveal a green light which can be flashed with the Strobulb, opening the fossil up ahead and revealing a safe which can also be opened with the Strobulb.
	Green Gem	Luigi must break the Pterodactyl bones above the elevator with either Toad or a bone rib.
	Purple Gem	In the bottom-left of the lobby, Luigi must use either Toad or a bone rib to break the glass container, then use the Dark-Light Device to reveal the gem.
	Yellow Gem	To the right of the main hall, Luigi must use either Toad or a bone rib to break the glass container.

B2 (Boilerworks)

	White Gem	This gem cannot be obtained until Luigi returns to the Boilerworks to rescue Toad and find the Super Suction upgrade. In the room left of the power room, in the top-left of the lower area, Luigi must throw some buckets of paint on the wall to make a Gem Ghost appear.
	Red Gem	In the room where Toad is found later in the game, Gooigi should go through the left pipe (obstructed by a yellow box), then go through the next pipe, and Luigi should turn the valve to stop the water blocking the gem.
	Blue Gem	In the control room left of the rotating bridge area, Luigi should use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a boiler, then he must flash the Strobulb on the coffee machine.
	Green Gem	After the water has been drained, in the bottom-right of the hallway either Luigi or Gooigi should pull on a chain, while the other takes a platform to the top where they can vacuum the gem.
	Purple Gem	After the water has been drained, in the hallway, Gooigi should enter a pipe above a piece of cracked floor to enter a submarine. Inside, he should use a burning piece of wood on the stove.
	Yellow Gem	In the room with the elevator just before the door to the next room, Gooigi should enter the middle pipe (obstructed by a fake wall which can be removed by vacuuming it), and then walk left to the gem.

10 (Tomb Suites)

	White Gem	In the central room of the pyramid, Luigi should use the Suction Shot to break open a tomb nearest the right door to reveal a smaller one. Luigi should keep breaking these until a Gem Ghost appears.
	Red Gem	In the hallway with the elevator, right of the door to the pyramid area, Luigi should pull on a chain near the snake statue to open its mouth, and Gooigi should retrieve the gem.
	Blue Gem	In the poison trap room, Luigi should use the Suction Shot to break a pot in the top-left of the room to reveal an "X" shape key like those used to stop the poison. Luigi should place this "X" in the small room with the door on the left wall.

	Purple Gem	In the room with the pyramid, Luigi should vacuum the biggest sand dune on the left of the pyramid.
	Yellow Gem	In the room with the pyramid, Luigi should use the Dark-Light Device to reveal the two missing segments of the Snake statue on the right of the pyramid.

11 (Twisted Suites)

	White Gem	In the bottom-left bathroom, Luigi should vacuum all the cards in the room, lighting up the lamp.
	Red Gem	In the first bedroom, Luigi should rotate the giant wheel to have swords fly into it. The gem will appear after the swords form a square.
	Blue Gem	In the bedroom where some Spirit Balls turn a key into a rabbit, Luigi should destroy a piggy bank on the bed.
	Green Gem	In the room with the stage, Luigi should use the Suction Shot to open the panel right of the stage, then flash it with the Strobulb to briefly open the windows. The gem is in a window on the other side of the room, therefore Gooigi should be placed there when the windows open to obtain the gem in time.
	Purple Gem	In the bottom-left hallway, Luigi should blow the giant hat onto the statue of the Magician trio, more specifically on the one who is not wearing a hat. Some stairs will appear leading to a chest containing the gem.
	Yellow Gem	In the top-right bathroom, the mirror shows a painting with the gem in the bottom of the room. Luigi should use the Dark-Light Device to release the gem from the painting.

12 (The Spectral Catch)

	White Gem	In the cave, Luigi should use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a flag in the bottom-left of the room, then pull on the string under it to raise it to the top.
	Red Gem	On the beach, Luigi should shoot some coconuts at the mermaid statue on the left to make a Gem Goob appear.
	Blue Gem	In the hall with the elevator, Luigi should use the Super Suction to pull away the carpet in front of the door to the cave, and Burst over the large red "X" that appears.
	Green Gem	On the right of the beach, Luigi should use the Dark-Light Device to reveal two bridges to some smaller islands. On the furthest island, Luigi should vacuum the sand to find a chest containing the gem. A hint of this gem's location is given on a map on the ship near where the Toad is rescued.
	Purple Gem	On the first of the smaller islands leading to the green gem, Luigi should vacuum the sand.
	Yellow Gem	In the hall with the elevator, Luigi should use the Super Suction to clear a piece of the wall left of the door to the cave, revealing a pipe which Gooigi can go through. This will lead behind the desk, where Gooigi can obtain a globe and launch to the other side of the desk. Luigi should launch the globe at the left hanging ball of the three in front of the elevator.

13 (Fitness Center)

	White Gem	In the reception room, Luigi should use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a bell on the desk, then as he approaches the left door, the bell will ring in a certain pattern. Luigi should ring the bell in the same pattern to make a Gem Goob appear.
	Red Gem	In the large room with weights, Luigi should stand on the scale in the bottom-right corner, then he should remain there while Gooigi retrieves the gem from a panel visible in the mirror.
	Blue Gem	In the locker room, Luigi should launch a boxing glove at the pool sign.
	Green Gem	In the shower room, Gooigi should drop down the grate, then turn the valve on the right to drain the water and go through the grate on the right.
	Purple Gem	In the training room, Luigi should flash the Strobulb on the radio three times (a hint on this is given by a phone call in the room with the elevator) to turn it to "channel 3". After the room goes darker, Luigi should use the either the Strobulb or the Dark-Light Device on the treadmills to reveal three ghosts; two of which are Gold Goobs and one is a Gem Goob.
	Yellow Gem	In the room with the elevator, both Luigi and Gooigi should stand on the circle in the center to fully open the window on the right, then while remaining there one of them should vacuum the gem.
