Level 9 is the ninth main level featured in Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge. This level introduces Thwomps as enemies. Any of the Mini Toys can be used in this level.

OverviewEdit

The Goal Door is located at the far right of the level, to the right of and above a set of Spikes. To reach it, the player must tap the Mini to set it in motion, then remove the Red Girders near the second Thwomp and the right yellow Warp Pipe. The player should then create a downward staircase to said pipe by removing and placing Pink Blocks. As the Mini activates the first two Thwomps and enters the Warp Pipe, the player must then remove the leftmost Red Girder and draw two Girders underneath the Thwomps, then remove and replace the downward Pink Blocks to form a staircase leading to the top right. Next, they should draw a Red Girder between the two rivets to the right of the pipe and create another staircase across a pit of Spikes with Pink Blocks; the player should also place two more Pink Blocks below the third Thwomp to prevent the Mini from getting crushed. After the Mini climbs these stairs, the player must then draw another Red Girder and place two more Pink Blocks above a Spike pit so that the Mini falls into the hole and walks to the Goal Door.

The amiibo Door is located in the bottom right corner. To get to it, the player must scan a compatible Bowser Jr. amiibo in order to play as Mini Bowser Jr. The player must follow the same route as the Goal Door, but after climbing up the last girder, they should place two Pink Blocks to turn Mini Bowser Jr. around, then remove them so he falls down. Mini Bowser Jr. will then use his Spike Guard ability to fall onto the spikes at the bottom unharmed, then keep moving until he reaches the amiibo Door.

amiibo TokensEdit

The first amiibo Token must be obtained using Mini Diddy Kong and his Ledge Grab ability. It is located on a ledge in the bottom-left corner of the level. The player must follow the same route to the amiibo Door; however, when Mini Diddy Kong exits the Warp Pipe in the top left, they must remove the two Pink Blocks nearby. Mini Diddy Kong will then fall down, grab the ledge near the gray girder, walk to the left and fall down again before he grabs the ledge and picks up the amiibo Token as he makes his way back up.

The second amiibo Token must be obtained using Mini Mario and his Wall Jump ability. It is located on a ledge near the top right of the level. The player must follow the same route to the Goal Door, but upon passing the third Thwomp, they should place Pink Blocks to turn Mario around, as well as a staircase ending in a two-block wall and a single block in the middle position above the alcove. As Mini Mario Wall Jumps upward, the player should then draw a Red Girder at the top for him to land on; he will Wall Jump again to reach the top of the level, then fall onto the ledge with the amiibo Token.
