Spike Guard is Mini Bowser Jr.'s special ability in Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge. It allows Mini Bowser Jr. to travel across spikes, which break all other Mini Toys on contact. It functions by using the flying abilities of the miniature Junior Clown Car that Mini Bowser Jr. always rides, as evidenced by the helicopter sounds and dust effects created while using Spike Guard.

The move needs to be used in Level 9 to access Mini Bowser Jr.'s assigned amiibo Door in the bottom right, after creating a Pink Block crossing at the very top to guide Mini Bowser Jr. to a turnaround, then disassemble said Pink Blocks to allow the toy to fall onto the spikes near platform the door is situated on. This door leads to Air Tumble Rumble, where Mini Bowser Jr. frequently uses Spike Guard to advance through its levels or reach bonuses positioned across spikes.
