Spined Puffer

Template:Anotherlanguage Template:Species-infobox Haribonbons[1](ハリボンボン) are puffer fish-like enemies in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. They do not attack, instead defending themselves by using their retractable spikes. It is only when the spikes are down that Donkey Kong can use his sound wave attack to immobilize them. He can then punch the enemy until it is defeated, and it will explode, leaving five beats in its place.
Haribonbons appear in underwater levels throughout the game.

The beta Haribonbon from Super Mario Galaxy
- A model for a Haribonbon was found in Super Mario Galaxy, implying that they were originally going to be in the game, but it was never used in the game. Many other enemies and character's models were found in the game but were never used.
- Oddly enough, ハリボンボン roughly translates as Beam Candy.
