- Fire Piranha Plant was announced as a new DLC character for Mario Tennis Aces on May 30, 2019. It will be available to tournament players throughout June and to everyone on July 1.
- A closed beta test for Mario Kart Tour (pictured) for Android users in North America and Japan began on May 22, 2019 and will end on June 4, 2019.
- A Nintendo Direct centered on Super Mario Maker 2 was broadcast on May 15, 2019, announcing new details on the game, including a single-player Story Mode and an online multiplayer mode.
- Donkey Kong Jr. was made available on Nintendo Entertainment System - Nintendo Switch Online on May 15, 2019.
