Super Mario Bros 3.

When Mario is in the Super Mario Bros. 3-inspired area at Green Energy Plant, the background music changes to match the original game. The overworld, underground, castle, and athletic themes are played, with a variant of each song that plays while Mario uses the Flip ability. Different jingles play when Mario clears a course or gets a Game Over.

Low health battle music

If Mario has a low amount of Heart Points, the battle music distorts. "Blackout" is the only battle theme to not to have a distorted variant.

ROYal Rumble

If Mario is inflicted with the rhythm or blue status effects, and after Roy mixes the paint to make black paint, a different music track replaces "ROYal Rumble." The rage effect speeds up the song, and unmotivated slows it down, while poison and self-conscious do not effect the battle music.

Roshambo Temple

Because the Roshambo Temples do not have any colorless spots, they do not have a record at the museum.

World map themes

Similarly to Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, the music on the world map changes depending on the amount of Big Paint Stars that Mario has.
