Reminder
This reminder has been overturned by the MarioWiki staff. The original reminder can still be viewed. |
---|
Please stop adding false information on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
Alex95 had to revert this edit, this edit, and this edit for you because those edits consisted of you adding false information. I'd give you a warning since adding false information is a Level two offense as per the Warning Policy, but I'm a nice guy. Mari0fan100 (talk) 14:55, 9 March 2019 (EST)
I played the fight with trio and King Bob-omb was not involved with them at all. The only time King Bob-omb appeared in this game was in the beginning with the four Minion Quest captains.
Although I haven't done all post-game missions so if there is a time King Bob-omb fights with the trio please let me know. Sorry about this. Best Fitness Friends (talk) 16:02, 9 March 2019 (EST)
- See this video. King-Bob-omb appears with the trio. Doomhiker (talk) 16:09, 9 March 2019 (EST)
Those are the Minion Quest captains in that video Best Fitness Friends (talk) 16:22, 9 March 2019 (EST)
- My mistake then. However, when removing information you need to provide why you removed the information, preferably with sources. Doomhiker (talk) 16:24, 9 March 2019 (EST)
What's the best way to do that? Best Fitness Friends (talk) 16:29, 9 March 2019 (EST)
- By using edit summaries if the source is not needed in the page itself, such as with wether or not King-Bob-omb fights with the Elite Trio. If the source is needed on the page then follow the guidelines on MarioWiki:Citations. Doomhiker (talk) 16:32, 9 March 2019 (EST)
I overturned the reminder as it turns out the information they were fixing was correct. However, this didn't really call for a reminder in the first place. A simple heads-up and asking for an explanation would've worked. 17:54, 9 March 2019 (EST)
Paper Mario series page
Hi, on the character section as i commented. They are not significant protagonists to be included regardless of a subsection. If you feel differently otherwise, discuss this on the series talkpage. L151
Well, most of the other series pages include supporting protagonists, and thats what the partners are, even if a few of them are introduced quite late in their respective games. Best Fitness Friends (talk) 13:32, March 18, 2019 (EDT)
Contractions
Please note that contractions such as "can't" cannot be used unless they are in things such as quotes, so can't should be cannot. Doomhiker (talk) 08:02, March 30, 2019 (EDT)
Got it, but for Cheep Cheeps their bio in Bowser Jr.'s Journey says "they can't leave the water" so that's why I wrote it like that Best Fitness Friends (talk) 08:05, March 30, 2019 (EDT)
- Only use contractions in quotes, and the contraction cannot be used in the paragraph because it did not use a quote, it was normal writing, so the contraction cannot be used regardless, even if you are describing what the bio said in a non-quote manner. Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser Enemies
Before going any further, I've moved the category to Category:Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser Enemies since you intend to keep a list of exclusive enemies. You'll notice the category links you're adding are red. Mario JC 06:54, May 2, 2019 (EDT)
Keep in mind too that categories themselves need to be categorised, as I've done here and here. When adding them to articles, the game-specific categories should go in alphabetical order (e.g. Category:Bowser Jr.'s Journey Enemies first, then Category:Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Enemies). See MarioWiki:Categories for more details. Mario JC 08:40, May 2, 2019 (EDT)

Clothing is equipment that increases Mario's, Luigi's and Bowser's stats and sometimes comes with added special effects. I don't know what you mean by a "major" boss. All bosses, by definition, are major enemies.
But you are engaging in an edit war and it needs to stop. Take it up with the other user or on the subject's talk page instead of rapidly changing the content. 11:57, June 3, 2019 (EDT)

Splitting off a section
To split an article, all you have to do is cut and paste the section you want to split, and maybe do a bit of retrofitting to help it stand on its own. There's no wiki function for it, so it must be done manually. You can go directly to the redirect by clicking on the "(redirected from <redirect name>)" prompt at the top of the article. If you have any more problems with this, please don't hesitate to ask. -YFJ (talk · edits) 09:19, June 21, 2019 (EDT)

Inappropriate Language
Please stop swearing in your edits. I know you sometimes have anger issues, but the Mario franchise is mostly rated E for Everyone. When looking at the recent edits, I've seen you swear several times before. One if some random child just happened to click 'Recent Changed', saw the edits where swore, then asked their parents, "What does fuck mean?" (I know I swore just now, but that was because you did). Grandet Omate (talk) 08:48, 18 August 2019 (EST)
Uhh right, ok. And often it's not out of anger but a casual thing for me. But seriously, why is it that people on here never thank me for all my hard work I've done on this Wiki yet instead come at me for my mistakes? Mario Sakuraba (talk) 09:14, August 18, 2019 (EDT)
- There is absolutely nothing wrong with swearing in your edits, or anywheres else on the wiki. Just as long as it is not in excess or directly at other users. People do appreciate your work, coming for you for your mistakes is to make sure you are aware of them and fix them, although in this case you did not make any mistakes. "Deal with it"
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (edit warring, antagonizing other users and vandals) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site. If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
First of all, do not keep repeatedly changing the content of an article. If there is a problem, you bring it up with the other user(s) either on their talk page or the article's talk page.
Second, do not fight with the other users, telling them to "deal with it" or "Go fuck yourself". On edit summaries or talk pages, even toward vandals, you do not behave like this. 12:01, September 9, 2019 (EDT)
Well, I was barely edit warring that time and he seemed like he was acting superior over us, I wasn't even trying to fight with him. I get the message now about all this too. And I wish I would at least get a little "thanks" for all the work I've done here rather than only being acknowledged for my mishaps. Mario Sakuraba (talk) 12:20, September 9, 2019 (EDT)
That was rude!
Hey. I just want to tell you that what you recently said about me being "hypocritical" was a very mean thing to say. I don't wanna get into a fight with you, but it is rather suggestible that you should probably settle this whole Sergeant Guy shoe situation and simmer down a bit. Besides, nobody's perfect for one. Also, it is not right to undo edits that others are willing to do. I'm just trying to do my job here, so please have some respect with all the hard work I've been putting up here.
--ThatOneUniqueToad (talk) 21:36, September 12, 2019 (EDT)
Even so, mentioning it once is enough, and I did give you thanks for uploading all these images too.... see what I mean about people only coming at me for my mistakes and not thanking me. Mario Sakuraba (talk) 05:02, September 13, 2019 (EDT)
Re: Naplocks
If that's the case, then check that first chance you get and see if the POW-Up occurs. Not demanding video proof, but it'd be highly preferable. Thank you. -- Lord G. matters. 18:14, September 13, 2019 (EDT)
Sorry, haven't looked at it yet. I've been a little bit busy with work training this month too. Mario Sakuraba (talk) 11:54, September 22, 2019 (EDT)
Don't worry about that. We will do everyting necessary after I get to the game. I haven't even started the side story in the SS Remake, so it might take a while.--Mid188 (talk) 15:56, September 26, 2019 (EDT)
RE: Gauntlet screenshots
I mean sure, why not. Just two things: Do you want also the giant gauntlet images? And also, after I provide the images, you will use add them to their pages, right?--Mid188 (talk) 16:24, September 30, 2019 (EDT)
I see what I can do, can't guarantee it will be right away.--Mid188 (talk) 17:30, September 30, 2019 (EDT)
So, I did the image of Durmite X. Is this what you requested?--Mid188 (talk) 15:03, October 1, 2019 (EDT)
So, I just checked the Bowser's Castle fight in the Gauntlet. And there wasn't no artwork. So giant gauntlet images are out of the question. Just to let you know.--Mid188 (talk) 16:03, October 1, 2019 (EDT)
Well, I didn't see that in my game. Weird. Will check again. EDIT: Okay, I was wrong. Here's the page.--Mid188 (talk) 16:20, October 1, 2019 (EDT)
King Boo Trivia
My bad, I didn't catch when it was removed. I thought you were referring to the other points Gamermakerguy was adding. Still, I think the trivia is relevant. afaik, no other non-King Boo Boo has appeared with a crown outside of that minigame, but feel free to let me know if that's wrong. 19:40, October 24, 2019 (EDT)
I don't recall any other Boos with crowns either, so I'll let that stay. Although there's now a subjective thing that an anonymous user keeps putting in that cannot stay. Mario Sakuraba (talk) 20:54, October 24, 2019 (EDT)
Spoiler proposal
No one's lashing out at you at all - the disagreements mentioned were mostly civil in nature, if a bit more blunt than necessary. They are, however, correct - while I personally wouldn't go so far as to call this entirely based in personal opinion or invoke the Courtesy policy on censorship, I will cite the reasoning given by Walkazo in her proposal to remove the then-present spoiler templates back in 2011, and the note on the About section that was made as a result of the proposal.
While I sympathize with the fact that spoiling is understandably not desirable to many people, the impact of spoilers on people's ability to enjoy games is frequently overstated to the point that we often forget the difference between reading about something and directly experiencing it for ourselves. This is not a qualm specific to you or your proposal - it's just the center of a larger issue at hand, where a story's enjoyment and value shouldn't hinge as much on the ability to go in completely blind as """spoiler culture""" has dictated. While a work is free to include as many shocking twists and reveals as it deems necessary, plot twists do not a good or bad story make - they are merely storytelling tools, and as such should not be made the crux of a work in any manner.
Spoiling is indeed a necessary weasel of the site's aims and purpose as a complete Mario resource. It isn't going to do us much good to try and micromanage user habits (on the basis that someone might be incautious regarding a game they haven't played) over, say, simply trusting those users to exercise caution of their own will and avoid those pages in particular. Even ignoring the fact that we'll never be 100% spoiler-proof, as indicated by various other proposals on this specific subject, doing so would be highly impractical, due to both the highly subjective criteria of what would actually constitute a spoiler to most people (such as the "late arrival" spoiler that inspired this proposal), and the unnecessary workload that would create in actually trying to manage such limits on spoilers and new content, to say nothing of defeating its own purpose if there is any inconsistency in how users carry out such an "anti-spoiler" policy. The decision regarding this was made long ago and, in my view, the arguments for doing so are too compelling to refute. -- Lord G. matters. 12:13, October 29, 2019 (EDT)
Broken references
Your edit here removing a number of references in the process left broken references that use the same sources as the ones you removed. Please be more careful when making these edits next time; when removing references that look like "<ref name=Name>Source</ref>", the ones that use the same "ref name" should either be replaced with said main reference or removed entirely (more info on MarioWiki:Citations). Mario JC 11:25, November 2, 2019 (EDT)
Right, sorry about that. One reason I removed them was they were a bit in the way. Mario Sakuraba (talk) 11:28, November 2, 2019 (EDT)

Dear Nightwicked Bowser, Your current signature is in violation of one or more of the rules listed on MarioWiki:Signatures (signature is too big). Please change your signature and keep the regulations and requirements in mind when creating future designs. If you have not made the appropriate changes within one week of receiving this notice, your signature will be changed for you. |
Your signature should fit in the box above, so it should be shortened and the image height resized to 35 pixels (x35px with the x before the number) or less. Mario JC 23:05, June 19, 2020 (EDT)

Koopalings
It might sound a bit fishy, but...
SMM2 uses the NSMBW artwork for Iggy and Ludwig. Should we change those to the Wii artwork as they use the exact same art as SMM2 and SMM2 is newer than NSMBU? For Larry it's okay as the artwork is largely the same, but what about Iggy and Ludwig? And should we add "and Super Mario Maker 2" to the infobox? Do you agree? Also, sorry for the NSMBU switcheroo.
Octoling Rendezvous 11:30, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
Iggy and Ludwig are fine keeping their artwork as they are now, since it's their latest original artwork (not counting artwork for the Mario & Luigi series which we normally don't use), and they don't have any traits exclusive to NSMBU. Nightwicked Bowser
- Okay. Thanks! Octoling Rendezvous 11:35, June 27, 2020 (EDT)
