- A Nintendo Direct for announcements regarding the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary (pictured) was released on September 3, 2020, featuring newly announced games Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros., Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, Super Mario Bros. 35, Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, and Super Mario 3D All-Stars. On the same day, Super Mario All-Stars was made available on Super Nintendo Entertainment System - Nintendo Switch Online.
- Update 2.0.0 for Dr. Mario World was released on August 6, 2020, adding a new Skill Summit mode.
- Update 2.4.0 for Mario Kart Tour was released on July 21, 2020, adding support for landscape orientation during races.
- Paper Mario: The Origami King was released worldwide on July 17, 2020.
