Template:Infobox WarioWare: Get It Together! is the ninth installment in the WarioWare series, released worldwide on September 10, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch. As in previous WarioWare games, the main gameplay involves the player playing various microgames in succession, though in this game, the player controls one of the various characters from the series within the microgames, with each character possessing a unique trait and ability, allowing the player to approach and complete microgames in different ways. Another feature new to the series is the ability to play microgames in simultaneous multiplayer.[1] Over 200 microgames appear in the game.[2] Prior to the release of the actual game, a free demo of the game was released on the Nintendo eShop on August 19, 2021.[3]
Story
The story begins in Diamond City, where crowds of people are lining up to purchase a new game titled Super Pyoro. Meanwhile, Wario and his employees at WarioWare, Inc. have just completed the development of their own game. When Wario tries to play it, however, the game does not work as expected, causing him to throw it in the air in frustration. After he does so, a mouth appears on the screen and pulls all of the characters into the system, turning them into miniature versions of themselves and trapping them inside.[4]
Inside the game, the characters find that they now have special abilities or items that they can use to help them. However, they also encounter game bugs, which cause errors throughout the game's levels. Wario must progress through the levels and complete them to defeat the game bugs and recruit his employees, who assist him in his journey.
After the group defeats the Mega Bug, the final and most powerful game bug, they encounter the Supreme Developer, who reveals that he was the one who brought them into the game so that they could defeat the game bugs, and he opens a portal through which the group escapes the game, inviting them to come back and play at any time. After they return, Wario's employees wonder where the game bugs came from, and Wario reveals that they were a result of his own bad programming, much to the anger of his employees. Wario is then chased around by his employees. However, they stop chasing him when he realizes that three crew members, namely Master Mantis, Red, and Lulu, are still stuck inside the game. At this, they head back into the game, but shortly afterward, a mysterious object glides across the game screen.
Back in the game, the crew encounters the Supreme Developer again, who states that their missing friends have been captured but that it is not the work of the game bugs. The crew progresses through a series of three skyscrapers, rescuing Red in the first, Master Mantis in the second, and Lulu in the third, all of whom were kidnapped by a mysterious object, which the crew pursues up each of the skyscrapers using an elevator; each time, they see it fly out of a window and leave behind a piece of treasure, much to Wario's glee. The final time this happens, a note is also left which dares the crew to combine the three treasures into one. Wario agrees to this dare, but the group fails to come up with a method of combining the objects.
Dr. Crygor decides to phone his granddaughter Penny to see if she can help. Penny receives the call while she is testing the Jet Tank One, a water blaster she invented, which she uses as a jet pack to fly. Agreeing to help, she flies into the WarioWare, Inc. building and into the game, where she combines the treasures into a Golden Watering Can. She then uses the water from the Jet Tank One in tandem with the can to grow a giant beanstalk; however, the can vanishes afterwards, upsetting Wario. The group then climbs the beanstalk, and, after finding nothing for a long time, they eventually encounter the mysterious object and face off against it in a final battle. After they defeat it, it reveals itself to be Pyoro, who went from his own game into Wario's in order to have fun. Wario then complains about having ended up without any treasure.
Modes
Story
Story mode is the main mode of the game. The player progresses through various levels on a world map, each containing its own set of microgames and hosted by one of the characters. There are twelve stages in the main story, including two remix stages that compile microgames from previous levels, as well as five bonus stages available after beating the final stage. This mode can be played with one or two players and is required to unlock additional characters and modes.[2]
Variety Pack
Variety Pack mode features various minigames that can be played with up to four players, including some that are multiplayer-exclusive. There are ten minigames, which are split into two categories: Completionist and Party.[2]
Minigame | Number of players | Description |
---|---|---|
Completionist | ||
Gotta Bounce リフティングじんせい (Soccer Ball-Juggling Life) |
1-4 | Players take turns bouncing a ball into the air without it touching the ground. The ball's color changes with each hit and indicates which player has to hit it next.[5] |
Daily Grind スーパーワリオカンパニー (Super Wario Company) |
1-4 | Players travel through a side-scrolling level while collecting papers and avoiding hazards.[5] |
Friendless Battle エンエンエンドレスファイト! (En-En-Endless Fight!) |
1 | The player fights against several cloned versions of other characters without running out of health.[5] |
Party | ||
High Five ファイブカウントバレーボール (Five-Count Volleyball) |
1-4 | A volleyball minigame in which players must hit the numbered ball to the other team's side before it counts down from five to zero. The number resets once it reaches the other side. Events that affect gameplay may occur during the match.[5] |
Duelius Maximus いきのこりバトル (Survival Battle) |
2 | Two players compete against each other in the same microgame on separate screens to be the last player standing. Each player has four lives, and the player who loses a microgame or finishes a microgame last loses a life.[6][5] |
Rising Star がんばりバトル (Endurance Battle) |
2 | Two players play through a series of microgames, with the winning player in each round earning a star.[5] |
Balloon Bang ふうせんパーン |
2-4 | Players take turns playing a microgame on a monitor while the other players inflate a balloon positioned above it. If the balloon pops, the player inside the monitor loses. The minigame is similar to and shares its name with Balloon Bang from WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!, which was also the basis of Balloon from WarioWare: Smooth Moves.[5] |
Sly Angle さんかくテリトリー (Triangle Territory) |
2-4 | Players compete in microgames and place and connect flags of their color on a field to gather as much territory as possible if they win. Flags positioned in a triangular formation create an area of territory.[6][5] |
Puck 'er Up ゲームパック パニック (Game Puck Panic) |
2-4 | Players participate in air hockey matches with a puck containing a microgame. The player who scores a goal then participates in the microgame on a small screen while the other players try to shake the screen to disrupt gameplay. Winning players are awarded stars.[5] |
Frenemy Frenzy キャラチェンファイト! (Character-Change Fight!) |
2-4 | Players battle against each other directly using the characters' unique abilities.[6][5] |
Wario Cup
Wario Cup is an online mode that features weekly challenges that the player can play to win trophies and earn coins. If the player has a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, they can turn on Ranked Mode, which allows them to compete with friends' and other players' scores and times.[2][6]

Characters
Playable
- Wario[1]: Wario comes equipped with a jet pack, allowing the player to freely control him. Pressing makes Wario perform a shoulder barge.
- Young Cricket[1]: Cricket can walk about freely under the player's control. He can jump with ; holding longer makes Cricket jump higher.
- 18-Volt[1]: 18-Volt sits in place, firing discs from his hair ring in any direction with . In microgames that demand motion, there are hoops that, when fired upon, make 18-Volt cling to them, allowing the player to move along dotted lines connected to them.
- Mona[1]: Mona rides a hovering scooter which can be controlled freely, but unlike Wario, Mona cannot stop in place; the only way to do so is by throwing a boomerang with . The boomerang can also be controlled in any direction and remains active until it returns to Mona.
- Dribble and Spitz (P1 and P2, respectively)[1]: Dribble and Spitz can fly around freely in their taxis, shooting their bazooka with . In single-player modes, only Dribble is playable. Dribble can only shoot his bazooka to the right, while Spitz can only shoot his bazooka to the left.
- Dr. Crygor[1]: Crygor can "swim" through the stage with .
- 9-Volt[1]: 9-Volt skates back and forth across the stage without input from the player. Pressing temporarily stops him in place and launches a yo-yo directly upward. Like 18-Volt, hitting a hoop with his projectile attaches him to it.
- Mike[1]: Mike can float around the stage and attacks upward with .
- Kat and Ana (P1 and P2, respectively)[1]: Kat and Ana are constantly jumping. The player can control their movements and press to throw shurikens. In single-player modes, only Kat is playable. Kat can only throw her shuriken to the right, while Ana can only throw her shuriken to the left.
- Jimmy T.[1]: Jimmy slowly floats downward and with momentum. Aiming the stick changes the direction he points in, and pressing launches him in that direction, even from midair.
- Ashley[1]: Ashley flies around on her broom and can use her wand to cast spells in any direction she is facing with .
- Orbulon[1]: Orbulon can use the tractor beam of his UFO to attract objects below him using , moving them around or destroying them.

- Red[1]: Red can fly around and drop bombs with .[7]
- Master Mantis[1][7]: Like Cricket, Mantis can walk about freely under the player's control. When he jumps with , the player can choose to reverse his gravity, and he can then walk and jump from the ceiling.
- Lulu[1][7]: Lulu can run around freely but can also hover upwards with her bow using . While in midair, she can perform a ground pound.
- Penny[7]: Penny uses her water blaster, the Jet Tank One, to propel herself in the direction opposite to where the blaster is aiming. Using causes her to hover in midair.
- Pyoro[7]: Pyoro can move back and forth freely. By pressing , Pyoro shoots out his tongue diagonally and automatically retracts after it reaches its limit. His tongue can bounce off of walls. He can also latch onto hoops like 18-Volt and 9-Volt.
