The title of this article is conjectural; an official name for the article's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors.
If an acceptable name is found, then the article should be moved to the new title.

Thrill Ride
Thrill Ride as it appears in WarioWare: Get It Together!

The Variety Towers, known as the Elephant Buildings in WarioWare: Smooth Moves, are a group of sidemodes found in the WarioWare series. They consist of three or four towers, each proposing a challenge to the player. They can be unlocked after beating the main mode or by completing a previous tower with a certain score. Most of these towers are provided to the player as an additional challenge, though in WarioWare: Get It Together!, they are visited during the story when Wario and his crew are looking for Red, Master Mantis and Lulu. In WarioWare: Move It!, the backgrounds are temples, instead of towers.

Most games featuring the Variety Towers have a motif around an animal:

The intermission stage of the Variety Towers are generally the same, consisting of the inside of an elevator with the animal (or its face) on the doors, which open to reveal the microgame. If the player wins, the animal shows a happy emotion. If the player loses, the animal is angry or dazed, and a life is lost.

Gameplay[edit]

All Mixed Up[edit]

All Mixed Up (known as Easy in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, Skyscraper in WarioWare: Twisted!, and Monster Megamix in WarioWare: Touched!) is the first Variety Tower the player encounters. In this tower, the player has to play a series of microgames, increasing in speed and difficulty, like in the main game. While regular microgames appear, boss microgames do not, so it is impossible to earn lives. WarioWare: Smooth Moves is an exception; in this version, a boss microgame appears every 100 games.

In WarioWare Gold, the color of the building changes depending on the microgame that is coming up: yellow for microgames with the Mash control type, blue for microgames with the Twist control type, and red for microgames with the Touch control type, and white for microgames with the Mic control type. There are five versions of All Mixed Up in WarioWare Gold, differentiated by the name of an input. The first three, Mash, Twist, and Touch, only have microgames with the control type corresponding to the mode's input appear. The fourth version is Ultra, where almost any non- Boss Game microgame can appear. Prior to each microgame, a guide will show and announce the inputs of the next microgame, and the building changes color as well. Finally, there is Ultra: No Guide, which is similar to Ultra but removes the guide and prevents the building from changing colors. Instead, the colors are always black and gray, and in addition the outlines are white.

The building itself is known as the Variety Tower in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, the Mixed Up Building in WarioWare: Smooth Moves, and the Temple of All Mixed Up in WarioWare: Move It!

Super Hard[edit]

Super Hard (known as Hard in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! and WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!, Tower in WarioWare: Twisted!, and Gnarly Mix in WarioWare: Touched!) is one of the Variety Towers the player plays. Depending on the game, it can be the second, third, or final tower faced. In this tower, the microgames do not increase in difficulty. However, the game starts at a very fast speed, giving the player very little time to react to and complete the microgames. Prior to WarioWare: Touched!, the microgames' music did not rise in pitch while they were sped up.

in WarioWare Gold, there are four versions of this mode: Mash, Twist, Touch, and Ultra. These function identically to their counterparts in All Mixed Up.

The building itself is known as the Building of Thrills in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, the Super Hard Building in WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Super Hard Tower in WarioWare: Get It Together!, and the Temple of Super Hard in WarioWare: Move It!

Playing as 18-Volt in Gamer from Game & Wario allows access to a similar BALLOON FIGHTER mode known as Ultra Speed. Much like other incarnations of Super Hard, Ultra Speed has the player start at a very fast speed, while the microgames remain at the first difficulty level.

Thrill Ride[edit]

Thrill Ride (known as Thrilling in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! and WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!, Mansion in WarioWare: Twisted!, Hardcore Mix in WarioWare: Touched!, and Sudden Death in WarioWare: Smooth Moves) is one of the Variety Towers the player faces. Depending on the game, it can be the second, third, or final tower unlocked. In this tower, the game does not increase in speed. However, the microgames are all on their third difficulty level (second difficulty level in WarioWare: Touched!) and the player only has one life, making any mistake an instant Game Over. In WarioWare Gold, the microgames are also played at a slightly increased speed.

in WarioWare Gold, there are four versions of this mode: Mash, Twist, Touch, and Ultra. These function identically to their counterparts in All Mixed Up.

The building itself is known as the 1 Chance Mansion in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, the Sudden Death Building in WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Thrill Ride Tower in WarioWare: Get It Together!, and the Temple of Thrill Ride in WarioWare: Move It!

Playing as 18-Volt in Gamer from Game & Wario allows access to a similar BALLOON FIGHTER mode known as Hardcore. Much like other incarnations of Thrilling, Hardcore has the player start with only one life, while the microgames are at the third difficulty level.

Despite boss microgames appearing, players do not earn lives upon completing them. After completing every boss microgame, the level goes up. This tower is pink, and the location itself is referred to as Hotel Future. In WarioWare: Twisted!, it was replaced by WarioWatch, which also appears in WarioWare Gold.

  • In WarioWare Gold, the souvenirs of the Nintendo 3DS family of systems each can be turned on to play looping sets of three microgames. The intermission for this shows a purple tower with a grey lion on the front.
  • In WarioWare: D.I.Y., the Mix All stages act like Variety Tower stages.
