In the Trees
Template:Levelbox In the Trees[1] is the second level in the Tree Zone in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, and the first and only level in the Tree Zone to have a secret exit. The secret exit leads to the Tree Zone Special Area.
Layout
The player starts inside a hollow tree, on a flat stretch of land. After the stretch of land is a hole in the land with a piece of tree sap. After this there is several other patches of sap, some with Mōgyo that swim horizontally in sap, as well three ? Blocks, two which give the player a coin and another that dispenses either a Mushroom or a Fire Flower. After the blocks is a large gap filled with sap that has two branching paths. On the top path there is a dead end with a ? Block containing a 1-Up Heart. On the bottom path is more sap, several Spike Traps, several Mōgyo and a ? Block that dispenses either a Mushroom or a Fire Flower. Then, there is a Pipe that transports the player to a hallway with more sap and a Noko Bombette. As the corridor continues there is sap which must be used to dodge spikes, and then there is a Mid-Point Bell which is right next to a hole filled with sap, which leads to another path, although the player can still continue forward, ignoring the hole. If the player goes down the hole they are greeted with Mōgyo which must be dodged to reach a pipe. In the pipe there is a ? Block with a carrot that must be used to cross a pit full of spikes and Noko Bombettes, after this is a pipe that connects the two paths. If they continue down the hallway, there is a set of four ? Blocks, three which give the player a coin and another that dispenses either a Mushroom or a Fire Flower. Then, there is more sap, spikes and Noko Bombettes which lead to another branching path. One leads to the goal and the other, that requires the Carrot has a pipe that leads to the secret exit, which leads to Himitsu no Course 1.
