A Back Space is an uncommon space that is first present in Mario Party: Island Tour, then appears in Mario Party 10 and Mario Party: Star Rush.

History[edit]

Mario Party: Island Tour[edit]

Back Spaces first appear in Mario Party: Island Tour as red spaces with "-[number]" written on them. They move the player backward the number of spaces displayed on the space.

Mario Party 10[edit]

Back Spaces return in Mario Party 10, though they are only present in the Bowser Party mode. They behave as they do in Mario Party: Island Tour.

Mario Party: Star Rush[edit]

Back Spaces appear yet again in Mario Party: Star Rush, behaving as they do in past games. They appear in the Balloon Bash and Mario Shuffle game modes.
