Kuchukas are enemies introduced in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. These Kremlings hide in a purple barrels filled with an unlimited supply of bombs. Their barrel design resembles that of Knockas, Krackas, and Klasps, and similarly to them, only parts of Kuchukas are ever shown, including their purple arms and eyelids, which match the color of their barrel. The "chuck" part of their name references the fact Kuchukas throw bombs bombs continually.
History
Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!
Kuchukas are enemies in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. They are encountered in Pot Hole Panic only. Kuchukas behave differently from Knockas as they remain stationary inside a barrel without moving and continuously attempt to throw bombs at the Kongs and their Animal Friends. They cannot be picked up and can only be defeated by a TNT Barrel. A Kuchuka also appears in a Bonus Level of Pot Hole Panic, where it tries to prevent the Kongs and Squitter from collecting the green bananas. A photograph of a Kuchuka appears in Dixie Kong's Photo Album, being classified as part of the Kremling Kreeps.
Unused graphics suggest that, at one point, Kuchukas could be picked up and thrown.[1]
Donkey Kong Land III
Kuchukas are enemies in Donkey Kong Land III. They are encountered in more levels than in the previous game. A single Kuchuka appears at the very end of Stalagmite Frights, and they appear in most levels of the Lost World: a bonus stage in Whiplash Dash, Kuchuka Karnage, Haunted Hollows, and Ghoulish Grotto. Unlike the previous game, Kuchukas cannot be defeated since there are no TNT Barrels. In Western releases, Kuchukas appear identically to Knockas, due to the limited color display, but in Donkey Kong GB: Dinky Kong & Dixie Kong, are a bright purple color.
