Room 2-8 (titled Room 1-8 in the British English version) is the eighth course of Tropical Island in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. This level introduces sliding bridges.
The course features three Mini Marios.
Overview
All three Mini Marios start on the left side of the level: two are on a ledge at the top, and one is in a room with and red and yellow Color Switches. On each of the two middle levels are a Cuttacutta which moves back and forth, with the one on the second-highest level blocked off by a yellow gate; a yellow bridge is also on the second-highest floor, which extends and retracts when the corresponding switch is stepped on. There are also four Warp Pipes: the rightmost one connects the second-highest level with the bottom level, and the other three connect the ground level with the one above. The Goal Door is on the bottom right, behind a yellow gate.
Mini Mario Card
The Mini Mario Card is located near the top of the level, to the right of two of the Mini Marios' starting positions. To obtain it, the player should have one Mini Mario fall down to the second-highest level and across the yellow bridge; another Mini Mario should step on the red Color Switch to extend the red bridge near the top right. The first Mini Mario must then use a Yellow Spring to bounce up to the red bridge and walk into the card.
